We make all Unifiber masts using the latest Pre-Impregnated (Pre Preg) Carbon Molding Techniques – even the lower (C40) carbon content models. For the perfect balance of weight to strength there’s simply no better method.

Plus, we’re leading the way by offering both SDM and RDM models in all sizes with a choice of 3 bend curves to suit any sail possible. (Hard Top, Constant Curve and Flex Top). With precise layers of choice carbon content, our Pre Preg masts can boast accurate ratios of carbon:resin for consistent quality that wet lay-up processes just can’t achieve.

Thanks to a unique controlled curing and heating technique, we guarantee exact stiffness, precise bend curves and dependable performance on the water.

For 2011 we’ve also slimmed-down the diameters of SDM models for added feel, performance, and compatibility with all camber induced sails.

The Reduced Diameter Range (RDM) boasts added wall thick-ness and extra peace-of-mind for just a few extra grams.

We also give a comprehensive 1-yr warranty and finish all RDM masts with high-tech silver UV-resistant Alutex cloth - and the same heat-reflective effect in SDM boom cutout areas.

CARBON AND ALUMINIUM

BOOMS

This season we’ve also introduced two new C-Shaped models for an ergonomic advantage for use with some modern rigs that prefer the front nearer the mast and power source. Both C-Shape sizes feature 26mm diameter for those with smaller hands or that prefer a thinner grip.

Our Standard curve’s a fraction wider than most wave-specifi c booms and slightly narrower than many slalom or race lines to match the widest range of sails on the market. This universal shape has a generous and com-fortable wide diameter (29mm grip area) that’s easy on your forearms and fi t any types of sail and use for long-lasting value over several seasons.

You’ll fi nd double pin locks for rock-solid fastening of the adjustable back-end, premium nylon used on all external plastic parts, and robust multi-pulley blocks on tail sections for easy fi ne-tuning on-the-fl y. We also added handy EVA graphical increments to help mark your favourite harness line positions and placements.

*For the best results we still recommend using a head adaptor on RDMs.

Unifiber’s bullet-proof boardbags supply plenty of padding top and bottom, and fully beefed-up tail and nose sections. Like all Unifiber soft goods they boast high quality metal zippers, embroidered webbing, tear-resistant polyester fabric topside, and shiny metal heat reflective tarpaulin underneath.

These carefully thought-out, compact (short luff) and easy-to-uphaul designs have a friendly, neutral feeling – even in the smallest sizes. They come with tough reinforced RDM (2mm wall diameter) Epoxy masts across the range and PVC windows to take the day-to-day strain. We also added extra reinforcements in the top, bottom and batten ends. All rigs come complete with sail/mast/boom/cup converter/cup/baseplate/uphaul and a bag that fits everything for a presentable and sellable product come end-of-season.

To make busy sessions easier for you and your staff we colour-coordinated each size for a clean, tidy look and easy use in your racks. And as an extra touch, based on feedback from instructors, we made one side of all boom grips black to aid in teaching awareness.
