THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF ZARI USE IN KANJEEVARAM

SAREES ARE:

Twisting, doubling and winding: the raw silk is first wound on a bobbin, then twisting for the primary part is done (18 – 20) in Z direction, then weft preparation is done where the raw silk is first doubled and then twisted (8-10 TPI) in S direction using up a twister.
