“Running on Empty” I Kings 19:1-4 Joe Bright
“Introduction to Galatians “ Gal. 1:1-5 Joe Bright
Welcome to Sunset! Another Sunday is before us; a day to worship our God and be with his people . . . one more day to give to him during the course of our short life time. What a privilege and blessing to be gathered with this group today.
This past weekend we celebrated our nation’s inde-pendence from her former ruler. Each Sunday we celebrate a similar inde-pendence from the tyranny of our former ruler, Satan. As we take the bread and the cup we celebrate the freedom we now have in Christ. We have much to be grateful for.
Congratulations to Phyllis Decker who was awarded the July Staff Excel-lence Award at Drury University. This award honors those who exemplify caring, courteous and effective service in the discharge of their duties. We are proud of you, Phyllis!!
We have recently updated the plaque listing couples who have been mar-ried for fifty years. Our new additions are: Gary and Becky Welborn, Ed and Annette Lasley, Ervin and Sandra Dock, Leroy and Sue Davis, Gene and Phyllis Clayton, Paul and Norma Buchanan, and Charles and Mary Robinson who were inadvertently left off the original list.
Have a wonderful week . . .
