Last day of classes

Spring registration is around the corner!

Students should seek advising to ensure timely enrollment and ‘check-in’ to understand the withdrawal deadlines, tutoring resources, and any other issues that may arise.

You will see come new terminology on your MyASU page regarding registration. To better understand it, please see below:

Enrollment Appointment is the date you can begin registering for classes for the next semester.

Advising Appointment is when you meet to discuss course selection, major options, etc. with your Advisor prior to your enrollment appointment.

Advising Hold is an indication that you must meet with your Academic Advisor in order to be cleared for registration.

Session A, B, and C refers to the three sessions in which spring courses will be offered. (See grid below)

Monday, October 24, 2011 │ Doors open at 7 PM, show begins at 8PM Grady Gammage Auditorium Artist(s): TBA Two nationally known comedians (Names TBA) will be taking the stage to put on a Homecoming Comedy Show for you and your fellow Sun Devils! Seating is ASSIGNED and based on a first come, first serve basis. Come to Gammage Auditorium to enjoy a night full of laughs!

Tuesday, October 25, 2011 │ 8 – 11 PM Student Union Ballrooms, Dining Area, and Patio Come enjoy Polytechnic’s Casino Night! We will be having a variety of tables from blackjack to roulette, even a few slot machines to try your luck! Don’t miss our lovely show girls and take part in our Las Vegas Costume Competition! Put on your best Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, or Allan from the Hangover look! Also, don’t forget to take the time to relax and listen to the performers of our open Mic Night happening in the dining area of the union.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011 │ 5 – 9 PM │ Fletcher Lawn It’s West Wednesdays! West campus's annual Sparky's Big Top Carnival is here and it's bigger than ever with new rides, the return of the Haunted House, and, NEW for this year, LIVE Entertainment! There is something for everyone. Bring the whole family! This Carnival has food, fun, and everything in between. And it's all FREE! Open to the community, this event is one you don't want to miss. After we end the Carnival with a special surprise, stay for a West campus traditional event, Movies on the Lawn premiering Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 starting at 9:00pm.

To commemorate this year’s Homecoming, Downtown has decided to start a new tradition by hosting the 1st annual Homecoming Dance! This year’s theme will be A Night of the Masquerade. Masks ARE MANDATORY and DRESS TO IMPRESS. Free to all ASU students plus one guest.

Friday, October 28, 2011 │ 8 PM Tempe's famous "A" Mountain Retrace the steps of all those before you as you climb to the top of A-mountain with ASU students, alumni, faculty and staff and honor our alma mater in ASU's longest standing tradition, dating back to 1917. This is an hour packed traditional event! It is filled with excitement, Homecoming spirit, guest speakers, special guests, the remarkable talent of the ASU Spirit Squad, and a magnificent skit with a beautiful firework display.

Are you looking for a way to get involved and get paid at the same time? Undergraduate Student Government Downtown is currently looking for two University College Senators to represent University College on the Downtown Phoenix campus.

As a senator, you are required to:

- complete four office hours every month - attend bi-weekly meetings - attend USGD events and meet with constituents

As a senator, you are the voice for your college. You can make it happen! Make a difference on your campus with new initiatives and be part of the change! Senators are compensated for their time and are paid $1000 for the year. Being involved on campus benefits your resume and can help you meet new people and enhance your college life. This year’s athletic competition between all Homecoming teams will be the “Think Pink Volleyball Tournament” hosted by the Greek Programming Board (GPB) & Student Recreational Center (SRC). The tournament is held in support of cancer research and awareness, providing both an evening of spirited teamwork as well raising money for an excellent cause. Participants will be organized in teams and engage in an elimination tournament to determine the champion.

Bring out your competitive attitude, bolster your team spirit, and get ready for an action-packed contest!

The tournament will be on Saturday, October 22 from 11 AM – 4 PM The team captain must attend one captains' meeting. The dates are: Wednesday, October 19th @ 4 PM – SRC Thursday, October 20th @ 4 PM – SRC

Six (6) T-shirts will be provided for each team. Additional shirts can be purchased.
