For the past two summers, right around this time of year, you would see James Norton pop up on your screen as Reverend Sidney Chambers–not this summer. There will not be a new season of Grantchester this summer, but Masterpiece has confirmed Grantchester series 4 will arrive on WITF in 2019. It also sounds like addi-tional seasons of Grantchester are in the pipeline however, series 4 will be the last season with James Norton. He has decided to move on to other projects after series 4 releases.
Continuing the pipeline discussion of Masterpiece, another season of Poldark will come your way in the fall. It will begin either the last week in September or early October. The past two years we’ve run a Downton Abbey marathon. This year, we thought we would keep the marathon idea going but with another series. Details of the Poldark marathon will be noted in future TV Listings Guides. I’m telling you now so you can mark your calendar!
This month we going to explore histor-ical barns in our region with Barns of the Susquehanna Valley. This special documentary from independent producer, Jonathan Slade, looks at the rich agricul-tural, architectural, and historic signifi-cance of a number of these structures in Adams, Lancaster and York counties. This program airs as part of our annual June Membership Campaign. We hope you will consider a donation to help support the programs that you enjoy.
We’ll spend an hour in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County. This film explains the
