• The production company must be insured. (list of insurance brokers available here: http://www.nyc.gov/html/film/html/permits/insurance_brokers.shtml)
• Apply for a $300 permit (at least 3-4 business days before scheduled shooting date).
• Must submit a “New Project Account Application”
• Must schedule a pre-production meeting with The City of New York Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting.
• Music: The music department within the production company will be responsible for writing letters to the owners of the music to get permission. The monetary payment for music will be included in the budget for the show. (http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-fairuse.html)
