Clarification Items for Turret Mooring Loads Application
- Please confirm current mooring loads are only dynamic components at chain table level without
load factor excluding Turret/mooring weight, inertia loads and Hull deformation components
- Which sea states were investigated for the given mooring loads derivation? (Page 4 and 5)
- Please confirm whether current mooring loads are maximum cases in all sea states requested by
CPY and no other maximum case exceeding these loads can occur
- Please correct FSOB understanding for the conceptual sketch of wave/mooring load/FPSO direction
presented in Page 6 and 7 as per the information of Page 1.
- FSOB to proceed analysis with conservative approach using Max. Fr, Max. Mr and Max. Fz for eachBallast/Full load condition with assumed mooring load direction as shown in Page 8. In this regard,
please confirm possible mooring load angle (alpha) range (Is it possible alpha can be within 90 deg
~ 270 deg in each of Max. Fr / Max. Mr / Max. Fz cases?)
- For the confirmation of usefulness of simplified Turret model idealization, comparison of reaction
loads for simplified Turret and complete Turret model cases are necessary as per CPY request atthe interface nodes on Tanker insert top/bottom. FSOC is kindly requested to provide reaction
loads when only given mooring loads (Page 1) are applied to complete Turret and recently given
Hull model (net scantling model).
- Please clarify the deviation revealed between DSME and SBM results shown in Page 9
