The PEBL project provides a modern way for the people of West Essex to share their stories and experiences of health and to air their views and opinions about local healthcare services. Every month the PEBL project would be producing a summary of public contributions and sent directly to local NHS managers and decision makers with community views and feelings. In late 2010 and on into 2011 the project would be evaluated to see whether the project makes a difference. Youth Councillors asked questions about the confidentiality of the stories, the amount of bloggers involved and how the site was linked to Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).

Charlie advised that confidentiality would be optional and up to the author with officers at PEBL checking each story before publishing to the website. The website had recently been activated, since Monday 10 May 2010 and had only received information and stories from pilot cases.
