Situation: An intensifying trough of low pressure with cloud and rain isapproaching Fiji from the west. It is expected to gradually move eastwards and toaffect the group till later tomorrow.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Rain developing over the Yasawaand Mamanuca group and Western Viti Levu from tonight and gradually spreadingover the rest of group. Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm expected. Moderatenortheast winds, fresh at times. Moderate to rough seas.

4.2.3.1 Power Restoration Update on major transmission infrastructure

FEA has started excavating temporary road access to the tower that has cut off power supply from Wailoa station to Western Division

Twelve out of two hundred and ninety six (296) poles are down on the said line. This power line transports power from Vuda towardsBa, Tavua & Rakiraki.

Vuda to Rarawai 33kV sub-transmission line

Contractors are expected to starts work onthe site on Wednesday, 24th February, 2016.

4.2.3.2 Power Restoration on area around Western Division

Power supply has been restored on areas around Sigatoka, Nadi, and Lautoka. Detail report is attached.

A vehicle was sent last night to Lomaloma to facilitate transportation; A 7.5 KVA generator was sent last night to Lomaloma hospital to provide power

supply Further medical supplies will be sent to Levuka this afternoon through Patterson

Shipping from Natovi It is now clearer that only the island of Vanuabalavu and whole of Lomaiviti group

are affected in the Eastern division. The networks to Lomaiviti and Vanuabalavu are still down/poorly accessible - this

will greatly affect the reporting and updates from these disaster affected areas. Other Reports from Koro and Lomaloma may have been received by NEOC and

hence will not be reported here to avoid duplication or confusion. A 7.5KVA generator is being scoped for delivery to Koro H/C ASAP 5 cases evacuated from Koro to CWMH. 1 from Nawaikama NS to CWMH.

EOC for Labasa Hospital/DMON now operation from DMON’s Office. 1 6 year old patients was report from head injury transferred from Nabouwalu

Hospital. Case is now stable and will await transferred to Children’s Ward. Report provided earlier in the day – trees uprooted but no major damages to

facility. 2 AC units need urgent repairs – due to power fluctuations. 5 cases were transferred from to Labasa Hospital (1 Taveuni/2 Savusavu/2 from

Nabouwalu. All waiting for Operation this afternoon when report was received at5pm. Updates received at 5pm.

Labasa in full operation but standby generator is on for backup electricity supply.

All our aerodromes are now operational following a special assessment trip byAirports Fiji Limited to Lau yesterday. (23/02/16)

5.214 At 1500 yesterday AFL had issued a status update to all stakeholders advising

them that our runways at Cicia, Lakeba, Moala and Vanuabalavu in the Laugroup were operational.

5.215 We were able to establish contact with people on the ground at Ono-i-Lau at

midday today making it the last of our outer island stations to be cleared forlanding.

5.216 On Tuesday Koro and Bureta were cleared and on Monday afternoon Savusavu

became operational. 5.217

AFL’s 13 outer island stations are now operating however damages to some ofour terminals means operations are restricted.

5.218 Our terminal building in Koro and Vanuabalavu are completely destroyed whilst

the fire station in Savusavu is severely damaged.5.219
