Four weeks ago, we made changes to our Sunday morning schedule. Our staff and many volunteers have worked hard to provide worship
services and Bible study classes that are relevant for all ages. The9:00 a.m. Sanctuary service offers a unique blend of classic andcontemporary music. Watermark, at 10:30 a.m., is a new approach toworship using different lighting and music. The sermon topics are thesame for both worship hours and communion services focus on thesacrifice that Jesus made for us, allowing his body to be broken and hisblood shed for the forgiveness of our sins.
The 30-minute “coffee break” between services is a rousing success! Many have enjoyed meeting new people and having time to catch-up
with friends. Please remember, if you see someone you donʼt know, introduce yourself. [“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for
by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels withoutknowing it.” (Hebrews 13:2)] As Soaring pledges continue to come in,the greeting area will be gradually improved with more shade structuresin the courtyard.
Also, there are Soaring plans to eventually develop an indoor coffeehouse at the north end of the Commons building that will be cool in thesummer and warm in the winter. I pray that all of us are adjusting wellto the new schedule and that the presence of Christ is always seen in
our Church family. # - Larry Gettman
Sympathy: Please remember the families of Anthony Carlson whose service was yesterday.
Parents are Rick & Lisa Wilcoxson and Ed & Jill Carlson.

Helpful Information
Sermon Notes
6451 E. Shea Blvd I Scottsdale, AZ 85254 I 480-991-9878
• We would like to get to know you! Each pew has a Welcome Book in which
you can let us know prayer requests, sign up for events and update your
information. Please pass the Welcome Book down the row so we can hear
from everyone!
• Communion/Lord’s Supper
All followers of Christ are welcome to participate in our Service of
Communion. If you have prepared yourself for this very special moment with
our Savior, you are invited to his table. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30) Please take
the emblems as they are passed and partake when you are ready. Some
prefer to take it while it is in front of them before passing it along.
• Offering
In all of our services, a special time for giving is set aside. Participation is an
act of worship and voluntary.
• Nursery
We have a friendly, well-staffed and impeccably clean nursery located on
the north side of the narthex. Please see an usher for directions.
