As simple and extremely cost-effective single-component solutions, the integrated tengine STARK CLE and DLE LED systems offer the benefit of compact design. A separate converter is superfluous. The LED engine is connected directly to the power cable.

The round tengine STARK CLE Integrated LED system is perfect for quick and simple upgrades from DD compact fluorescent lamps or T5 lamps to modern and efficient LEDs.

tengine STARK DLE Integrated is less than 20 mm high and therefore per-fect for use in downlights. It offers consistent and reproducible colour continuity. Tunable White gives you the option of setting the colour temperature of white light to any value between 3,000 K and 6,000 K. This function is essential for modern biolog-ically effective lighting solutions which aim to simulate natural light indoors. The light in daylight quality promotes a feeling of well-being and productivity for people who have to spend many hours a day in artificial light. This explains the high importance attached to lighting concepts involving Tunable White and optimum light quality in offices, edu-cation establishments and health care facilities.

The tengine Tunable White Linear System is precalibrated at the factory and offered in sets comprising a converter and 3 to 5 LED modules. The Tunable White modules are available with 700 and 1,500 lumen, have a colour rendering of CRI > 80 and can be dimmed from 100 percent to 10 percent. Constant luminous flux over the entire adjustable colour temperature range of 3,000 K to 6,000 K is particularly impor-tant for professional room planning. tengine Tunable White opens up a really in-teresting area of application, not least thanks to its reproducible and consistent colour rendering in accordance with MacAdam 4.

As an LED system with a broad product range, the third generation of the linear tengine STARK LLE is perfect for switching from T5 and T8 luminaires to mod-ern LED technology. With an increase in efficiency of 30 percent and excellent colour rendering of CRI > 90, the third generation of the LED system not only surpasses itself but is also compatible with its predecessor. Together with the new ECO and TOP converters, the system achieves new levels of output and efficiency.

STARK LLE LED modules cover all the usual requirements in terms of lumen pack-ages, colour rendering and lengths. Even if several modules are placed next to one another, the surface remains perfectly homogeneous. For each module in the third system generation there is obviously the appropriate converter, both Fixed Output and digital dimmable.

Known as the basis for creative luminaire design and, as a highly efficient system, the tengine STARK QLE in its new generation is even more efficient than before. This square LED module is ideal for office recessed lights with side lengths of 600 × 600 mm and is backward compatible with its previous version. Both the high-performance version with 66 light points and 160 lm/W and the version with a reduced number of LEDs and lens are designed to provide optimum colour conti-nuity. The system therefore offers a perfectly homogeneous surface, even if multiple LED modules are arranged next to one another.

The third generation of tengine STARK QLE offers the highest energy efficiency on the market and, therefore, quickly offsets the higher initial investment. The SELECT version meets the highest demands in terms of colour rendering with CRI 90. The cost- effective QLE LENS version with its integrated optics makes use of a reduced num-ber of light points which, likewise, creates an extremely uniform appearance at a comparable installation depth.

Better, more cost-effective and more efficient. The new tengine SLE is a sus-tainable system solution for LED downlights and spotlights. With a lifespan of 50,000 hours for a maximum reduction in output to 90 percent, the broad product portfolio offers optimum solutions of uniform design for a wide range of applications. The static white SLE is available with a colour rendering of CRI > 80 (CLASSIC) and > 90 (SELECT). For art-related and cultural applications, SLE ART offers a perfect CRI of 98 with new full-spectrum technology. SLE FOOD is the version for displaying food to best effect. With its new brilliant white light SLE FASHION is a trendsetter in fashion lighting.

Another highlight: tengine STARK SLE is more efficient than ever before and therefore a market leader. This is thanks, in no small measure, to BLO Auto Detection (Best Lamp Operation) in which the converter automatically selects the necessary power supply.

In addition to energy, this system also saves time and materials because the thermal interface is a fixed part of the LED module and does not need to be applied to the heat sink as a paste or foil, as is usually the case. tconverter BASICSolid basis for high efficiency

The tconverter BASIC series comprises three LED converters: BASIC phase-cut in constant current (LCBI) and constant voltage (LCBU) versions plus BASIC stepDIM. All three enable most standard spotlights and downlights fitted with low-voltage halogen lamps to be replaced by energy-efficient LED systems. All the BASIC converters comply with SELV requirements and achieve a life-time of 50,000 hours at an ambient temperature of –25 °C to +50 °C.

The LCBI and LCBU already introduced at 15 W are now also available with a higher output of 25 W. They can all be easily dimmed with standard phase dimmers. The new tconverter BASIC LCI 15 W is a simple system solution and the per-fect fixed-output control for low-output LED luminaires. The implemented stepDIM function contains an extra plug terminal to which a standard motion sensor can be connected. The light level can switch between 100 percent and a predefined value of 30 or 10 percent. Saving energy is therefore simplicity itself.

Industrial applications have very specific lighting requirements with huge demands placed in particular on the light engines because of long operating times, challenging environments and installation in places that are difficult to access for maintenance work. Because of the lack of alternatives, many manufacturers use outdoor con-verters but they are inadequate for the task, even in modern lighting solutions with LED technology. The demand for energy-saving and cost-saving lighting solutions is increasing in the industrial sector, as elsewhere, and special LED converters are needed for these applications. Tridonic has reacted to this demand and, as before with the PC-Industry, the first special-purpose ballast for industrial applications has now launched the mechanically and electronically super-rugged ECO INDUSTRY LED converter.

OutdoorEfficient light for street lighting

Lighting solutions for exterior applications have to meet very tough demands. The devices have to be extremely robust because they are exposed to fluctuations in the weather, extremes in temperature, humidity and moisture. It is just as important for the devices to be reliable and provide permanent pro-tection against overvoltage peaks, so that they can continue to operate reliably even in very dirty power networks and despite extreme events such as lightning strikes. At the same time, maximum efficiency and very long life are required – particularly by contractors.

Tridonic meets these challenges on the basis of extensive know-how and many years of experience – in both interior and exterior applications. Innovative electronic and LED solutions are offered as an alterna-tive to magnetic control gear in exterior applications. Tridonic works closes with municipal and regional authorities right from the product development stage to produce highquality reliable solutions that are tailored to the needs of the customer. The outstanding features across all the product families include impressive energy savings and extremely low installation, commissioning and maintenance costs.

In the outdoor sector the main focus is on the quality and robustness of the devices, but Tridonic also offers the required degree of functionality. To offset the cost of many applications, the Tridonic range of outdoor converters starts with 1–10 V, in versions with connecting cable and terminals. In addition, the successful dimmable PCIS Outdoor range has been optimised and extended with the integration of automatic reduced night output. Energy savings are therefore achieved by reducing the illuminance with-out having to connect a control line or install individually adjustable controllers.

Up to four daylight and presence sensors can be connected to the basicDIM DGC luminaire installation unit. The control unit has a connection capacity of up to 20 DSI or DALI devices – directly via two channels. A complete room can therefore be controlled with only one control unit. basicDIM DGC is also equipped with a DALI interface which allows it to be integrated into a central lighting management system. The new tcontrol LNU PWM dimmer will allow your signage to appear in a com-pletely new light as well as achieving energy savings of up to 40 percent when compared with lighting solutions without LNU. Thanks to unique twilightCONTROL technology from Tridonic, 12 VDC or 24 VDC LEDs can be ideally faded up or down for signage installations as a function of ambient light levels, without the need for an external light sensor. The three individual lenses provide uniform illumination in signage systems, cove lighting systems and other applications. There are no limits to the creativity opened up.

For the perfect amount of light for different applications tchain CRYSTAL is available in CLASSIC and SELECT output versions each with two module spacings. The light distribution takes homogeneity to a new level. The light points have an emission angle of 155° so even at a mounting depth of only 4 cm the lighting effect is uniform. Müller pharmacy chain, GermanyCustomer requirements: To achieve a considerable reduction in the energy costs for lighting and to lengthen the maintenance intervals. At the same time the exis-ting and successful ambiance was to be retained.

The Tridonic system solution: The existing light sources with T8, T5, low-voltage halogen, neon and high-intensity discharge lamps were replaced by highly efficient LED technology from Tridonic. The appropriate solutions, comprising light sources and converters were found for the ceiling, shelving and wall lighting. Depending on which light sources were replaced, the Müller chain has achieved energy savings of between 30 and 80 percent.

Municipal Library and Culture Centre, Vallentuna near Stockholm, SwedenCustomer requirements: Attractive optical lighting effects with an intelligent control system which also makes use of natural daylight. The lighting solution had to be easy to use and controllable from a central location.

The Tridonic system solution: The entire lighting control functionality is handled via a DALI network. The intelligent light management system comprising more than 800 Tridonic products has led to a significant reduction in energy consumption and has made maintenance, monitoring and control much easier.
