Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, added “The ef-fect can be soothing pink color, and can also be run as economic challenges. The color is like saying we should expect a full and think reaching satisfaction” as quoted by the Associated Press. Various researches conducted that according to many people, “honeysuckle” gives flashback of happy childhood memory, which brings people to nostalgic senses. Honeysuckle is very active color so gives energetic impression as well as playful feeling. Pantone predivcted that this color of pink would not only effect in the industry of fashion, but also appear in interior to electronic goods.Rebecca Taylor designed the skirt with the combination

of Bright Fuchsia and a Deep Teal t hat design-ers call “peacock”. Mixture colors of Honey-suckle and neutral colors on her skirt as in strips gives vigorous senses. Even if four of bright and neutral hues formed the stripes, her color choices are well balanced. Many designers in 2011 com-bined bright pastel and neutral colors to create equal balance of natural synthetic. For example, Emberglow is autumnal tone that reminds of pastel tone of sunset that is scattered all over the fall sky. The combination of light gray and Em-berglow will create retro feeling. By juxtaposing feminine Emberglow next to light gray such as Cool Flannel Gray or Deep Navy, it gives mixed feeling between of feminine and masculine. Pe-ter Son, Fashion Designer, inspired from “mens-wear fabrics with a feminine twist” according to Pantone website.

report on fall 2011. Many people may feel like Deep teal is a winter color. Howev-er, in this fall 2011, designers mixed and matched with the pastel so that it can have cool feelings and forest green-like color. Moreover, adding the texture such as an animal skin prints will add up earthier no-tion towards Deep Teal. This color creates perfect harmony with Bamboo.

bamboo

Bamboo is another bright trendy color in fall 2011. It gives warmth to cold breez-es around fall season. Bamboo has yellow and undertone of green so it gives multiple feelings. Rather then it is an bright pastel color that reflects childhood memory lik e Honeysuckle, it has more adult-like feel-ing and elegance sensation within the color. Just like Bamboo creates elegance feel-ing, Coffee liqueur is another pantone fashion color that gives sense of elegance to fall. It is rich color that consumers are aware of. In addition, it generates calm and modern mood. Rather then in bright sunlight, wearing the color of Coffee li-queur in cloudy or rainy day will adds up the rich tonality to the outfit. “Evoking the freshness of a cool mist in a dark forest,”(words from Pantone website), Cedar is a another top 10 mid-tone earthy color. Unlike with Deep Teal, greenish color that has cooler sense, Cedar creates warm and lovely notion. Juxtaposition of soft pastel-colors and the cool neutral colors are the main color trends in fall 2011 and it heavily affected the designers how to balance out the dull and playful colors.

Fashion TrendsOf 2011 Fashion is changing, elusive, and seductive. It has the ability to transform an image and make a social difference. Everybody knows fashion is constantly changing, one day it’s in and the next day it’s out. But that doesn’t mean you should throw away your old clothes. Keep them, because you never know when the trend will come back. Designers are constantly thinking of ways to design new fashion trends and how it can be recycled from previous trends. So look through your closet again, it might surprise you that your oldest clothes just might be the style that is totally in. Here are the best and the biggest trends of 2011. New York City is the prep capital of the USA. Ameri-can chic thrives today just as well as it did back in the day. Staples like the Blue jean, Polos, white button ups, cable knit sweaters and camel wool coats are everywhere. Sticking to these classics helps create a surefire way of looking well put together. Believers in Minimalism means accessories and makeup and kept to a minimum and you see lots of black. In recent years, more attention has been paid to the emerg-ing distinct style that is coming out of Tokyo. Harajuku is named after an area of Japan near Tokyo where it is a trend for young women to get dressed up and socialize. People dress in a variety of styles including gothic lolita, visual kei, and decora, as well as cosplayers. Lolita fashion is where girls dress up like various dolls; gothic, sweet, or punk. Vi-sual Kei is a very androgynous movement centered around J-Rock. People dress like Glam, Punk or metal rock. Co-splayers are people who dress like anime characters. All these different style trends are about expressing ones self through very over the top make-up, elaborate hairstyles and

flamboyant costumes. Layering tons of different pieces of clothing and accessories is how to achieve the perfect look. These fashions would not be acceptable in any other city, but in Toyko & the Harajuku District they are a normal part of culture. Girls want to show off their style to everyone and hopefully be photographed and shown in many of the style magazines that are published around this Fashion trend. Due to the geographical vastness of my hometown, Los Angeles, there are several distinct styles. Beach casual can be seen around the beach communities. Flip flops, biki-nis and sun dresses are a year around uniform, due to the minimal shift in weather. Hollywood an=d Beverly Hills are all about the newest glam trends. Skinny jeans, huge sunglasses, Tory Burch flats and hobo bags can all be seen on almost every girl, young and (slightly) old. But the most interesting trend is Hipsters who congregate around Mel-rose and Silverlake. Hipster culture started as an alternative movement of kids who didn’t care what they looked like or what other people thought of them. But the true motivation behind this movement is exactly just the opposite. Hipster is a trend that is becoming popular globally, but was start-ed in Los Angeles. American Apparel & Urban Outfitters provide the uniform for this style. Both men and women live in V-necks, black plastic frame glasses, skinny skinny black jeans, and oversized sweaters. Though bright colors used to be in, these are now being replaced with darker colors and worn out vintage clothing. Tattered denim jeans, leather jackets, vinate sweatshirts advertising ir onic things like Cabo 1994, and see-thru blouses are now what is cloth-ing the masses.

Hol-lywood stars are constantly going back and forth between old and new fashion. Fashion constantly changes; it isn’t something that can be predicted. So this season, take our your old trousers, your old pastel shirt, and maxi dress, and take them out. With summer just around the corner, it is the perfect opportunity to mix and match your clothes.

Fashion is ever changing, shifting from season to season. There might be global trends that spring up every season, but style is very different depending on where you are in the world. London, New York, Milano, & Paris are considered the Fashion Capitals of the world. But many will arguer that Los Angeles & Tokyo should be added to this list. Each city is known for being forward thinking producers of clothing trends. I recently studied in Milan, Italy for 7 months. Italians are known for luxury, but in a very understanded manor. The people exude effortless elegance & sex appeal. Italian tailor-ing makes timeless classics look that much sexier. Italians are all about the 3 Fs: Fit, Fabric & just the right amount of Flair. To spice things up you will always see people donning that 1 special accessory. Big gold sunglasses, a flashy leather purse, a patent leather belt, the perfect knee-high boots or a red lace bra. Shoes & lingerie; 2 things Italians can’t get enough of. Every other store on 1 block in Milano is ei-ther shoes or lingerie. And trust me, I spent plenty of money on both while there. During the winter all you see is Black, from head to toe. When the warm weather arrives you would

think that the Milanese would shed their layers. Milano can get unbearably humid. For Italians, replacing black with Color is their way of acknowledging the change in seasons. And do they love Color. But one thing they don’t love to do is show skin. Even in 90 degree heat, people are still in long sleeve button ups & sweaters tied around their shoulders. Boots are replaced with Tod’s loafers. Some how, even in the Milan heat, the Milanese don’t seem to break a sweat.Paris is home to couture, which is evident in Parisian’s love for Opulence. While the Milanese chose to limit their acces-sories to 1 item, Parisians think more is better. Bows, beads, lace, piles of jewelry & hats are among the most popular. Parisians embrace patterns and know how to mix and match. Femininity is the focal point of everyone’s style, even if it costs you comfort. Shoes are taller & bras are forbidden. During the summer, Parisians strip off all unnecessary layers and prefer to go as bare as possible. And don’t worry about shaving, its totally unnecessary. The punk movement was started in London & today this city’s style sensibility is still a little edgier than most. Lon-doners have a little harder, unisex style with sharp lines and heavy fabrics. Like Paris, Londoners are not afraid of mix-ing patterns, but gravitate more towards bold graphic prints than feminine ones. Layering in key, especially during the colder weather that is present for most of the year. Long coats and scarves are the top accessories of choice. Chunky military boots are preferred to the sleek and tall ones you find in Milano. New York City is the prep capital of the USA. Ameri-can chic thrives today just as well as it did back in the day.
