INTRODUCTION
The 2014 IIFT was inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India Shri Pranab
Mukherjee.
The India International Trade Fair (IITF) began in 1980.
It is a leading event organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
The IITF is held every year at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, from November 14th to 27th.
The IITF is a major tourist attraction.

THEME - THE WOMEN ENTRPRENEURS
The theme of IITF-2014 was WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS.
Women Entrepreneurs of India combine energy, initiative, determination and talent.
They have made tremendous contribution to the progress of our nation.
Therefore, the Fair provided new impetus to business transactions, joint ventures
and investment opportunities in the country.
A separate “Women Entrepreneurs Pavilion” outside Hall No. 7H was set up and
28 exhibitors in an area of 280 sq. M . Net displayed their exhibits in their
respective stalls.
ABOUT IITF 2014
This was the 34th India International Trade Fair .
More than 2 million visitors are expected to visit this event, one of the largest trade
fairs in India.
This International Trade Fair will seen more than 6,500 companies and 25 foreign
countries taking part in the event. This event has attracted participants from over
25 countries.
India International Trade Fair is known for showcasing a wide range of
merchandise and services from different parts of India. This is in accordance with
the ‘Make in India’ initiative of PM Narendra Modi.
The first five days of the fair from November 14-18 are restricted to business
visitors only.

General public allowed to visit from 19th November onwards and entry is free for
senior citizens and physically challenged.
The theme of the fair this year is ‘Women Entrepreneurs’ which is aimed at helping
organizations integrate women welfare programs in different parts of India.
While South Africa is the Partner Country of the IITF 2014, Thailand is the Focus
Country and Delhi the Focus state at the fair.
Apart from India, the 25 countries participating in this year’s IITF are:
China, Germany, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Cuba, Egypt, Hong
Kong, Iran, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia,
Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Thailand, Tibet, Turkey, UAE and
Vietnam.
Our Participation
We went to the trade fair ’14 in a team of 8 to take a view of different people who
gather there every year to sell the different variety of products as well as the
marketing strategies they apply in order to make sales. And also their purpose of
visiting IITF every year.
Tech-mart India 2014
Encouraged with the success of “Tech-mart India-2013”, NSIC is once again organized Tech-mart India 2014, the 22nd International Technology Fair from 14-27 November, 2014 at Hall no. 14 to showcase achievement of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under one roof, coinciding with the India International Trade Fair-2014 at PragatiMaidan, New Delhi.
Tech-mart India 2014 is a perfect platform for those entrepreneurs who are interested in keeping abreast with the latest technological developments in the Micro, Small and Medium Sector.
The show is spread over an area of 5000 sqm and covers the wide range of engineering, manufacturing & allied industries. It is also an ideal platform to Network / Establish new business contacts/renew old contacts, discover new market opportunities and enhance market access in India & abroad.

HUDCO BUILD TECH – 2014
‘’A prominent exhibition on Building Materials, Technologies & Services, Real
Estate and Housing Finance’ ‘’
Smt. Anita Agnihotri, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation,
Government of India, inaugurated the HUDCO Build Tech – 2014 at the India
International Trade Fair (IITF) displayed in the Hall No. 3 on 14th November, 2014.
Hudco Build Tech –displayed the work done by HUDCO in nation building through
financing of projects and partnering in Government of India programmes, promotion of
cost effective & environment friendly building materials and technology.
HUDCO pavilion has earned a tremendous response from National and International
visitors including professionals from diversified fields like Architecture, Interior
Designers, Builders, Contractors, Civil Engineers and Consultants from various fields.
Special demonstration of EWS units displaying the innovative and cost effective
technologies by Hindustan Prefab Limited (HPL) was the special attraction of the
pavilion.
Andaman & Nicobar
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay
of Bengal and Andaman Sea, and are a Union Territory of India.
Industry
There are 1,374 registered small-scale, village and handicrafts units. And there are
shell and wood based handicraft units.
Tourism
Andaman & Nicobar Islands are developing into a major Tourism hub with its exotic
looking beaches and pristine islands having equally exotic names, wonderful
opportunities for adventure sports like snorkeling and sea-walking.
THAILAND
Thailand is a monarchy headed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej , Rama IX and
governed by a military junta that took power in May 2014.
Thailand is the 51st-largest country and 20th-most-populous country in the world.
It is called a “Land of smiles”, Thai people are known for their friendly smiles,
natural grace and kindness.
Becoming a newly industrialised country and a major exporter. Manufacturing,
agriculture, and tourism are leading sectors of the economy.
Thailand was the theme country. They not only had a dedicated pavilion to themselves but
also shared space with other countries in the common international pavilion. The Thai nick
knacks, artificial flowers and costume ornaments seem to be very popular.

IITF is being organized to bring all the skills and innovations at a single platform
