• Food safety problems in Japan– BSE (beef), Residual pesticide (vegetable),
Deceptive labeling of food products, ...– More consumers have been interested in food
safety.
• Establishing food traceability– Needs to improve reliability of
food production and distribution processes– Risk management in the accidents on food
