We are really excited for the 2011 Version of the "Touch of Class" Sale as we have

gathered up a great lineup of cattle including the National Reserve Champion Red Angus

Bull as well as some other very good show heifers/prospect, flushes, bred heifers and, of

course, the embryo packages.

This offering of Red and Black Angus I think truly represents the quality of cattle the

Angus breed has to offer. The cattle numbers have been continually pushed down and now

with the cattle market on the upswing I know the timing is as good as you are going to find it

for being able to buy cattle with the a tremendous return in mind.

One thing has stayed constant this fall, the higher quality cattle continue to bring premi-

ums and so they should - why feed an ordinary one when they eat as much as the good

ones do! The “Touch of Class” offers one of the last opportunities of the year to buy GOOD

Angus genetics and, as everyday passes, they will only continue to grow in their value.

The consignors for this sale - whether they are new or repeat - have bellied up with the

top end of their herd and I know you will be impressed when thumbing through the cata-

logue in what is on offer.

While this remains a business for all parties involved, having fun at what you’re

doing only makes life more enjoyable and time spent socializing will leave you with a good

we took him to the Saskatchewan Summer “Gold Show” where he was

the Grand Champion Bull at 5 months of age! “Rock” is maturing into a

powerful Herd Bull candidate that exhibits a complete package of natural

muscling, powerful spring of rib, length of spine and a solid hip! His wide

based stance and tremendous scrotal developement round out his spe-

cial characteristics.

He is from the proven Bayberry cow family that originated for us out

of the Cumnock dispersal.The first calf from his dam, 704T, was sold to

Coteau Crest Red Angus through our bull sale in 2010 and have since

purchased back a share in that son of the great Towaw Indeed. Her sec-

ond calf garnered great attention around the stall at Agribition last year

where we sold her privately to Wildcat Creek and she went on to be Re-

serve Grand Champion Female in Denver. Along with RSL Red Angus

we purchased the walking rights to Redman from Lazy MC in the sum-

mer of 2010. We are very proud of "Rock", his sire and his dam and be-

lieve that he is the type of

bull that will continue to im-

prove the Red Angus breed.

Bridget is something special! With that feminine look, length, exten-

This is the only Duration female we are offering for sale this fall and

she really is a dandy! The Duration daughters we have working now are

very good - all have super udder structure and have raised very good

calves.

This young female has length of spine and exhibits lots of thickness

and depth of body. A definite cow in the making with maternal sires,

Leachman Right Time and New Trend 315, both close up in her paper-

work.

Susan 55Y’s dam, Susan 5M, has been one of the most productive

cows in our herd over the last number of years having raised four bulls

so far in her career and those four bulls averaging a mere $8100 with

three of them going into registered herds. She also had two daughters

in the herd - one of those raised a bull to D Bar Angus of Hartney, MB.

Truly a “Touch of Class”, 142X is a very deep made, sweet fronted,

This dark red, long topped, eye appealing heifer calf is one of the

first Real Deal females to sell this year and she is hard to part with!

The combination of our foundation Blackbird line combined with the

Sitz Upward has been taking the breed by storm and with this shin-

ing heifer as an example, there is little wonder why. When I was on the

Montana tour in fall of 2010 I quite liked the Upward cattle and they were

easily some of the best cattle there. When I was touring Larry's and I

saw this fancy, fancy heifer and he told me she was an Upward, I was

sold. What a great in-dam purchase from the highly successful Mountain

View Dispersal.

Check her out, she will be at Agribition and she's a beauty!

On the Montana Tour in the fall of 2010 we stopped by Sitz Angus

Ranch and were able to see a number of Connealy Thunder progeny.

They have a little more rib, soft made and all had lots of eye appeal.

Larry & Laurie purchased the Valley Lodge cows with heifer calves this

spring from Gord Rogers; this heifer would be a shining example of the

set of cows that were purchased. Normally I wouldn't look for a heifer that

doesn't carry the consignors’ herd name but Nielsons wanted to put their

best foot forward and with this sweet heifer calf......Mission accomplished!

ducer. She produced a herd bull for her previous lessor and another bull

calf that was in the top of our bull pen until his untimely accidental death.

Here is one sired by our Mambo son, Tycoon, whose daughters

working here in the herd now are working very well. He puts a very de-

sireable udder on his daughters and they milk very well. The udder at-

tachment is excellent along with awesome teat size. Proven genetics on

the top side of this pedigree and a little different twist on the bottom side.

Serebl 14Y is the first daughter of our Toast son to be offered for

sale. We used him on 18 heifers last year with very good results. This

year he went out with a group of our top producing cows. 14Y comes

from one of the top production cow families here at WRAZ. The Serebl

cow family is a good footed, structurally sound, no miss kind of cow fam-

ily. We have retained enough females from this cow family to know they

work and they will breed on. Good cow families do breed on.

This stylish heifer with lots of middle and top is hard to part with but

her dam is bred the same way and going strong in the herd. Along with

that, 74Y was one of the heifers brought in for this year’s fall show run.

74Y is one of the top calves out of DFCC 32T Future Breaker 69W,

the $12,000 power and performance high selling bull out of the Double F

Cattle Co. herd. 74Y’s dam, Isla Bank Primrose 45P, a long made female

with loads of milk and a udder that will never break down, is the original

Angus female and one of the cornerstone females here at Lock Farms.

Wow, what a heifer and I love it when I win an armwrestle. Thisheifer comes very highly cherished by Russ as her dam, Creston 31J, isa workhorse to say the least! 41Y comes from the very top of his heiferpen and that's just the kind to sell and for Russ's first trip to town I knowhe's gonna get noticed! This Ribeye daughter sold throughthe Masterpiece Sale for $5500 to Joe Bandura for 1/2 interest. 13T wasshown through the 2009 WAF futurity and was a class winner at thathuge event Canada so proudly hosted.

5. dISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the

parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person

from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s deci-

sion in such matters will be final.

6. AnnoUnCEMEnTS: Errors discovered in the catalogue will be corrected

by announcements from the Auction Stand at sale time, and such cor-

rections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

7. CERTIfICATE of REGISTRY: A CAnAdIAn certificate of registry duly

transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement

is made.

8. ShIPPInG: Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale,

but no risk is assumed by the Castlerock Marketing or the seller. Ex-

penses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are

requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

9. BREEdERS GUARAnTEE: The terms standard with the Canadian

Angus Association shall apply. Beyond that: (a) All animals sold are guar-

anteed breeders. (b) All bred females have been declared safe in calf by

a qualified veterinarian. Pregnant females are guaranteed pregnant a

minimum of ninety (90) days. (c) All mature females raised a calf in this

year. (d) All calendar year heifers are guaranteed open at time of sale.

Any animal that has not proven itself a breeder within six months after

the date of sale, if, in healthy condition, may be returned to seller at

buyer’s expense. The seller reserves the privilege of trying for a period

of six months to prove the animal a breeder. The seller, at his option,

may either return the purchase price to the buyer or replace the animal

with another of equal value in full settlement and satisfaction of All

claims. Any complaints regarding fertility of any animal in this sale shall

be directed to the Contributor. All complaints regarding breeding difficul-

ties must be reported in writing by the buyer to the seller within the time

specified above and any animal returned must be free from disease and

in good health. Any calendar year heifer calf shown and/or flushed by

the purchaser is no longer guaranteed a breeder under this paragraph

#9.

10. ACCIdEnTS: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the

safety and comfort of the buyers, neither the Auction Market, the Sales

Manager, nor any owner assumes any responsibility in this matter and

disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident of loss

of property.

11. lIABIlITY: Saskatoon livestock Auction and Castlerock Marketing are

acting as agents only and assume no responsibility for representations

made by the seller. Purchasers must look to the seller for fulfillment of

all guarantees and representations made by the seller.

12. InSURAnCE: livestock insurance and/or transit insurance will be avail-

able. Insurance rep, larry Toner, will be on-site Sale day.

13. TESTInG: All cattle will be held at sellers’ expense until all necessary

health requirements are met.
