I SAMUEL 15 22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the

LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than

the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as]

iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath

also rejected thee from [being] king.

ROMANS 6 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his

servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have

obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of

righteousness.

JAMES 2 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also

believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man,

that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had

offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

JAMES 2 22 Seest thou how faith wrought

with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and

it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the

Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Hebrews 5 (AMP)7 In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered

up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed]

and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that

He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence

of the Father].

Hebrews 5 (AMP)8 Although He was a Son, He learned [active, special] obedience through

what He suffered9 And, [His completed experience]

making Him perfectly [equipped], He became the Author and Source of eternal salvation to all those who give heed

and obey Him,

An Exposition Of The Seven Church Ages - Chapter Five - The Pergamean Church Age

The members of the virgin bride will love Him, and they will have His potentials,

for He is their head, and all power belongs to Him. They are subject to Him as the members of our bodies

are subject to our heads.


Notice the harmony of the Father and the Son. Jesus never did anything until it was

first showed Him by the Father. John 5:19. This harmony is now to exist between the Groom and His bride. He shows her His Word of life. She

receives it. She never doubts it. Therefore, nothing can harm her, not

even death. For if the seed be planted, the water will raise it up again. Here is the secret of this. The Word is in the

bride (as it was in Mary). The bride has the mind of Christ for she knows what He

wants done with the Word.


She performs the command of the Word in His name for she has "thus saith the

Lord." Then the Word is quickened by the Spirit and it comes to pass. Like a seed that is planted and watered, it comes to

full harvest, serving its purpose. Those in the bride do only His will.

No one can make them do otherwise. They have 'thus saith the

Lord' or they keep still. They know that it has to be God in them doing the

works, fulfilling His own Word.

4 God called a complete separation: to separate himself from the rest of the world, and from all of his people, and from all of his kindred. There was a

special thing for him to do.

And when God expects you to do a special thing, He demands a complete separation from any doubt. You've

got to come to full obedience to obey what He says. God demands it. You can't do it no other way. And that...

He always sets an example, and that was his example of a complete separation: from all of his family, all of his kindred, and so forth, to walk a life separated to

God.

Then we see when full obedience come, then when he was about to take

the life of his own son, the Angel of the Lord called from the skies, and held his hand. And there was a ram behind

157 Now, when you want Eternal Life, you receive a Token, showing that the price has been paid. It isn't the Blood, but it's the Token of the Blood. It's the Life Itself. Amen. Full obedience to the whole Word of God, to God's

entire Word, will entitle you to this Token.


How do you do it? Peter said, on the day of Pentecost, "Repent, every one of

you, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy

Ghost, the Token. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord

our God shall call."


159 When they seen that wonderful display of the power of a resurrection, he

(Peter) got up there and quoted the Scriptures of Joel, and so forth, give the promise for that age, and showed the

requirements of that age had been met in Jesus Christ, and that He had

sent back a Token of His death. And that Token was upon them.


And He said, "The Token is to you, and to your children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call will have to have this Token." Amen.

It's not they "may ought to" have It. "They shall have It. You shall receive

the Holy Ghost." 160 When you fully obey the Word of God, in--in full surrender to It, you're

entitled to the Token. Yes, sir. Obedience, "Not he that saith, 'Lord, Lord,' but he that doeth the will." And

when we pray, we must have the Token to present with our prayer.

116 And when we can display the Token of the Holy Spirit, shows that we

have been accepted in Christ. And that is our Token that all that we have need of is

already purchased by Him. We are identified with our Token. The Token

must be ready.The Blood, covenant Blood is not

recognized without the Token. The Word assures us of the promise. The Token is a sign the purchase has been made

for us.


Full obedience to the full Word of God entitles us to the Token. No

other way is there that you can ever be entitled to the Token until you

fully obey the Word. Not what somebody's put into it, and added to it,

but what God said about it.


119 When He said, "You must be born again," that don't mean jump up-and-

down at the altar. That don't mean walk back there, and shake hands with the

pastor. That don't mean all this foolishness that we've seen done. It don't

mean putting your name on a church book. It means death to your first

being, and life to the second being. It means that the Blood has been

applied, and you're identified by the Life of Jesus Christ.

ROMANS 5 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the

gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to

condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came]

upon all men unto justification of life.

ROMANS 5 19 For as by one man's disobedience

many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be

made righteous.

We find out the Blood does speak; It speaks in your behalf. The Life that's in

you speaks from the shed Blood. Amen. Oh, blessed... I wished everybody could see that. See? If you can see what it is, it's the Life that's in you. See, that Blood is identifying you with It. It's a Token. The... What it is, the Blood was shed for you; you've accepted, and

the Life has come into you. You have the Token; that's the Holy Spirit.

ROMANS 8 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our

infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the

Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be

uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.

See? But we don't do that. Full, complete obedience puts you and the Word one. You believe It every bit, and all of It's in you, and you

watch It working through you.


45-9 Age means not a thing. You done passed from age; you're in

eternity; 'cause you're in Him. He's eternal. Don't mean a thing, whether

you're young, old, middle-aged, or whatever you are. Pretty, ugly, short, fat, what, don't matter a thing. It doesn't...


You don't go around, and all these other things. You done passed from that. You're

dead. You're life is hid in God through Christ. You're sealed in there by the Holy

Ghost, walking in Christ. The only object you see is Christ. That's all.

That's all you want. Oh, my.
