All the students of Classes I to X participated in ‘Akhil Bhartiya Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Pratiyogita
Pariksha’, organized by ‘Mahatma Gandhi Rashtra Bhasha Hindi Prachar Sansthan, Pune’ in August’16.
Our Principal Sir, Dr. Sundar Kumar Gandikota, and our school received the ‘Ideal Principal’ and the
‘Ideal School’ award respectively.
Hindi Essay Competition
Ishita Kanodia of class VII-C won the first prize
in Hindi Essay Competition held at Bal Bhawan
on the occasion of Children’s Day organized by
‘Kanpur Zila Bal Kalyan Samiti’.
"Save Dolphin- Save Ganges"
A team of 10 students escorted by Mr. Arun Verma
participated in a competition on "Save Dolphin- Save Ganges"
organized by Centre for Environment Education at Zoological
Park, Kanpur on 13th April, 2017. It was an environment
awareness program based on the theme –‘Protection of
Aquatic National Animal. Fresh Water Dolphin in Holy River
Ganges and Clean Ganga. The students performed very well
and bagged a few prizes.

DIGITAL LEARNING, Asia’s premier monthly magazine on Education declared the results of
Top Schools of India Ranking 2016 based on various parameters like Academic Excellence,
Online Presence, Social Footprints etc. SETH ANANDRAM JAIPURIA SCHOOL was declared
the best school in Kanpur.
On behalf of the school, Mr. Manish Seksaria and Mr. M.U. Siddiqui received the Award at a
felicitation ceremony held on 21stJanuary, 2017 in New Delhi.

Tie Award
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global organisation of industrialists, organises an annual business
plan competition, titled the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) to foster entrepreneurship in the
budding minds. TiE UP organised the sixth edition of its landmark program, the TiE Biz-Plan
Competition 2016-17.
The team comprised Shiv Tandon, Kushagra Agarwal, Riddhiraj Singh Sehgal and Vikunth Chandra,
the Mart Walker from Jaipuria stood first in both- the elevator pitch and the business plan
competition.
Indian Science Congress - 2017
Our students are encouraged to participate in various competitions organized at the National Level.
The year 2017 is the fourth consecutive year when Jaipurians brought laurels to the school by
bagging all the first three ranks of Infosys sponsored ISCA Travel Award. The award was conferred
on the students in the inaugural ceremony of Children’s Science Congress on 4th January. Winners
of this year are Tushar Agarwal (Class XII Rank I), Sheen Parimoo (Class XI- Rank II) and Shourya
Singh (Class X Rank III). The students received a plaque and a certificate by the Nobel Laureate in
Physics (2015) Prof. Takaaki Kajita from the University of Tokyo.
Christmas Celebration
Christmas is a time of celebration all over the world. The Assembly hall was embellished with a big
Christmas Tree and balloons. Children of Classes I and II presented a small skit on the life of Jesus
Christ. A few children dressed as Santa Clause waved and distributed toffees to the audience. The
School Choir sang melodious Christmas Carols which enthralled everyone and swayed them into the
mood of festivity.
Spring Fest
“True courage is like a kite, contrary winds raise it higher.”
Flying kite is a popular sport in our country. From the auspicious festival of Makar Sakranti till the
colourful Holi, one sees the sky dotted with kites of all shapes and hues. In keeping with this
tradition, our school celebrated the Spring Fest on 15th February, 2017. Children were dressed in
floral prints. Our beautiful girls wore tiaras and the boys wore garlands made of marigold flowers.
They were taken out to the garden for kite flying and they also danced to the rhythm of music.

Beautiful handwriting defines a person’s personality.
Your handwriting is a mirror of your soul.
On 24th January, 2017 we organized English Handwriting Competition-‘FLORAL FLOW WRITING.’
All the kids from Classes Nursery and Prep participated in it actively. This handwriting competition
was a source of great motivation for the kids. It was an effort to make them realise the importance of
good handwriting.
Earth Day Celebration
The School celebrated ‘Earth Day’ on 22nd April, 2017 by organizing a special assembly. Soft
boards were put up indicating the importance of the day and inspiring children to save our planet
and preserve life.
Various activities were also conducted in Junior and Senior school to promote afforestation, which
helps to conserve the environment.
Ice Cream Party
“You scream…. I scream…..
We all scream for ice cream…”
The most tempting and mouth- watering treat for kids
during the summer is ice cream. It is rightly said- “The
sun is hot, ice is cold….. Lick it up, before it goes…..’
On 1st May, 2017, our school organised an ice cream
party for the kids and they relished it to the fullest.
Mother’s Day Celebration
“Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn..
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover…
Hundreds of butterflies in the lawn.
But only one mother, the wide world over.”
The joy of celebrating mother’s day is incredible to every human being. Our school celebrated
mother’s day on 12th May, 2017. It was a fun filled and lively show as the mothers of Pre-
Primary kids were invited to participate in the activities, such as – One Minute Game, Mommy
–The Best Teacher, Puzzling Your Mind, Tap Your Feet, to name a few. At the end of the
program mothers were given a token of love for their enthusiastic participation.
Classes I and II celebrated this special day by conducting a special assembly. Children enacted
a small skit depicting the importance of mothers in our lives. The rendition of the choir was well
appreciated.
Splash Pool Activity
“Under the sea and below the shore…
There is a special celebration in the
store.”
We decided to beat this scorching heat
by organizing a ‘Splash Pool Week’ for
our little Jaipurians from 19th April,
2017 to 28th April, 2017. Children had
a great time. They joyously screamed
and shouted excitement ‘Let’s Have
Fun’ in the showers….
Red Day Celebration
Colours are indeed the smiles of nature…..
Red colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and
vitality. The Pre-Primary school celebrated Red
Day on 11th May, 2017. The day started in a
resplendent manner with red colour all around
the school. Children could be seen in different
shades of red, wearing red dresses, carrying red
fruits, red balloons, red flowers….. here a red….
here a red….everywhere red red. Our little
Jaipurians spent a spectacular, fun filled day. The
children displayed craftwork by pasting bindis
on the cut outs of watermelons. Teachers told the
students the importance of red colour and its
literal and figurative relevance making the
celebration a wonderful learning experience.
Annual Sports Day 2017
The Annual Sports/ Republic Day
The school celebrated the spirit of being a Republic on 26th January, 2017 on its lush green fields.
Col. Dushyant Singh , SSO Cantt., Kanpur graced the occasion with his benign presence as the
Chief Guest. After the unfurling of the flag the school choir presented melodious patriotic songs.
Relevant speeches were delivered by students that truly reflected their feelings of gratitude to
the freedom fighters and expressed their vision for future India.
A well synchronized march-past and P.T. display was put up by the students. Prizes were
distributed to the meritorious students of Classes I- V by the Chief Guest and in his speech he
admired the students for their hard work.
Vote of thanks was extended by the Headmistress, Mrs. Madhushree Bhaumik and the program
came to a closure with the national song.
Basant Panchmi
Abiding by our cultural traditions, the
school celebrates Basant Panchmi with
grandeur, every year, rejoicing the
arrival of spring.
The colour of the day was yellow. The
children as well as the staff came clad in
traditional costumes, in keeping with
the theme. Prayers were offered to
Goddess Saraswati amidst chanting of
Mantras and melodious Hymns.
Last School Assembly
The School organized its last assembly of the session 2016-17 on the 25th of March. The assembly was
a special one because besides its normal features, it had an additional feature to it. It being the last
assembly of the session, various Houses were felicitated on being winners in different areas of
activities.
Our Principal Sir gave away the trophies to the winning Houses. Krishna/Cauveri House with the
maximum scores, lifted the most prestigious ‘Anand Trophy’ and emerged triumphant.
Farewell 2017
“On the sands of time, leave your footprints behind….”
That’s exactly what the outgoing batch of Class XII of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School did, when
they were bidden adieu on the 3rd of February, 2017. The bittersweet afternoon saw dapper young
men, dainty damsels in designer suits and vibrant sarees respectively, ready to make the occasion a
memorable one.
Amidst tears and smiles, the students sought blessings of their teachers, clicked pictures and bade
goodbye to school life, all set to take on the bigger challenges of life.
All the best to the batch of 2016-2017 !
Orientation Programme 2017
At Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, we aim for a perfect balance of complimentary factors; ancient
and modern, traditional and innovative. We all want to give our children the best start in life.
Nursery Orientation Programme 2017-18 is one such start for the parents and students. It was a
measure taken by school to give a brief introduction of the school and its rules and regulations. We
extended a warm welcome to the parents and kids as they became a part of the Jaipuria Family. The
introductory session for the parents was conducted by our respected Headmistress Ma’am where she
also introduced the class teachers of the respective classes. This was followed by an Interactive
Session between the parents and the class teachers, in their respective classes.
Graduation Ceremony
“Graduation Ceremony, is a conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of another.”
On 21st March, 2017, we celebrated the Graduation Day and complimented the children of Class
Prep for their hardwork and efforts made by them in the academic session 2016-17. We started the
show with a message. The greatest wealth is health, by presenting a rhythmic yoga. Kids said their
“two little words”, that is ‘Thank You’ to their teachers in the form of a vibrant song. It showed their
enormous love and affection towards their teachers and mentors.
“Sometimes, you will never know the true value of moment and it becomes a memory, so it’s the
time to celebrate”-with this feeling in our mind, we celebrated the success of the day by presenting a
colourful holi dance.
The kids were felicitated and blessed by our Principal, the Headmaster (Senior School) and the
Headmistress (Junior School).
Overall, it was a phenomenal show presented by Class Nursery and Class Prep.
Exploring New Areas in The Field of Toxicology
To expose the students of Class XI to various career options after graduating from class XII, our
school organized a trip to CSIR- Indian Institute of Toxicology Research located at Lucknow- Kanpur
highway. A group of 25 students along with 5 teachers visited the Institute on 27th December, 2016.
Teachers’ Training Programme

at SAJS Kanpur. On 23rd and 24th
December, 2016, our school
hosted teachers’ training
workshop .It was attended by
teachers of various branches of
SAJS along with their Heads and
Principals. The objective was to
enhance active learning,
facilitation, teaching strategies,
personality development along
with classroom display
techniques and utility of
multimedia.
Army Equipment Fete
The Defence Services in Kanpur organised a fete at Cavalry Ground Kanpur Cantt., on “Know
Your Army” on 20th and 21st January, 2017. Students of Class IX from our school got an
opportunity to attend this fete on 20th January 2017, in which soldiers performed a mock drill
presenting a war scene at the border.
In various stalls army equipments were placed e.g. M4 Carbine, Mortar, Rifle, Light Anti-Armour
Weapons, Machine Guns, Battle Tanks. There was also on display a Radio Station which is used by
the soldiers at the war front for fast and reliable communication.
Visit to A Zoo
The students of Class III went to the Kanpur Zoo popularly known as “Allen Forest” on 9th February,
2017 with their teachers.
It was an educational, informative and an entertaining trip organized by Seth Anandram Jaipuria
School for its students.
The English Week
English Department conducted its British Council I S A activity during the English Week, as marked
in the school academic calendar from 17th April to 22nd April, 2017.
To emphasize the importance and need of English as a global language, various activities were
designed for the students throughout the week.
The Indian International Model United
Nations, 2016
Our school , Seth Anandram Jaipuria,
participated in the Indian International Model
United Nations, held at Billabong High School
on the 23rd and 24th of December, 2016. It
was an invigorating and enriching experience.
Altogether sixteen of our students bagged
prizes in different committees and our school
won the Best Delegate award.
An Environment Friendly Educational Trip
The school organized a Nature Camp for Teachers and Office staff at The Kukrail Forest and Ghariyal
Conservation Centre (Lucknow) on 10th April 2017.
It was amazing to view different ponds, sections where ghariyals, crocodiles are raised for the initial
three years. It was real fun as the staff actively participated in different dares. In Brave Hearts, we
located different sites with particular type of vegetation and geographical features with the help of
route map in the forest. The view of medicinal garden reminded us of our own campus garden. The
whole event was refreshing, exciting as well as educational because it was a plastic free trip.
Social Studies Week
A week-long celebration of Social-Studies as a subject commenced on 1st of May, 2017 with the 3rd
annual edition of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations- the biggest MUN conference in
town in terms of participation and reach. The event witnessed the involvement of more than 300
students, hailing from all over the nation.
Maths Week
Mathematics week was celebrated in school from 8th May – 17th May, 2017. Children of class X- B
conducted the assembly under the able guidance of Mathematics faculty. There were bulletin boards
prepared on the life and contributions of some eminent mathematicians like Newton, Aryabhatta,
Ramanujan, Descartes, Omar Khayyam etc. The works of these mathematicians were also highlighted
by children in the student’s talk during the assembly.
District Magistrate Speaks……
Honourable District Magistrate of Kanpur city, Dr. Kaushal Raj visited our school on the morning of
18th January, 2017 and addressed the students of Class XI.
The interactive session was held in the computer lab, where Dr. Raj elaborated upon the entire
Election System to the upcoming voters.

A two day session of SAJMUN: (Seth
Anandram Jaipuria Model United Nations)
was held from 29th April to 1st May, 2017.
Teams from 26 Schools participated in the
event. Various topics of National &
International importance were discussed.

how to improve the same.

for our teaching staff. Swami Prem
Harinam Das Ji is the Temple President at
