As Enterprise Architect, developed and directed “green initiative” to reduce electrical consumption by implementing server virtualization of over 83 servers, installed solar energy optimization measures for backup power generation. Developed business case, designed, and led telecommunications infrastructure support for an ambitious 5 year construction project encompassing 14 major construction projects. Worked with stakeholders across the enterprise (internal), and collaborated with external stakeholders at Department of the Army and Regional Combatant Commands in areas of conflict in the world (external).

Experience COMMANDING OFFICER, MAINTENANCE BATTALION

OHIO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD 3 years

Experience leading a 700 member military organization in a high-volume, fast-paced, environment where soldiers prepare for and deploy into combat environment to accomplish logistical missions of maintenance and repair of combat vehicles. Lead soldiers in a “multidisciplinary” organizational environment encompassing all matters of personnel/medical-administration, broad functional/purpose training, security, and supply / sustainment / transportation. Ensured the highest level of individual soldier and unit readiness for deployment into Iraq and Afghanistan.

Experience LOGISTICS OPERATIONS OFFICER (Support Brigade)

Operations Iraqi Freedom-14 mos deployed 3 years

Directed the logistical and transportation support for V Corps units operating through the Corps rear boundary (Kuwait & Southern Iraq) for their onward move north into Iraq. Provided daily coordination of transportation dispatch of convoy movement comprised of thousands of vehicles daily. Collaborated with external stakeholders at Department of the Army and Regional Combatant Command in Southwest Asia (external) for supply-chain management of sustainment commodities using land, sea, and air intercontinental transportation. Coordinated commodity re-supply of U.S. and coalition forces in southern Iraq. Coordinated the reconstitution of rail service from southern Iraq north to intermediate locations throughout Iraq. Participated in the location selection of logistical support area ANACONDA (Balad Air Base, Iraq); in what was to become the major re-supply hub in Southwest Asia (Iraq & Kuwait) for the remainder of combat operations and ongoing sustainment operations in the region. Resolved complex issues among culturally diverse, multi-national stakeholders.

Experience NETWORK OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (DEPUTY CIO)

OHIO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD 3 years

Responsible for all IT service functions for the enterprise to include all network circuits, desktop computer support, life-cycle replacement purchasing, workstation imaging, distribution, and maintenance. Supervised the network operations center responsible for “back-office” network services, security, and computer application development and support. Network authentication, security, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Security & data encryption, intrusion threat reporting. Responsible for developing the IT Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP). Developed all bid specifications for IT equipment and services in accordance with State and Federal equipment procurement regulations. Managed annual IT budget in excess of $5.2mil.

ExperienceENTERPRISE HELP DESK SUPERVISOR

OHIO ARMY NATIONAL GUARD 3 years

Directed daily enterprise network support operations comprised of over 3000 users, 48 remote network sites across Ohio, three major training installation campuses. Scoped and managed IT Enterprise Service Desk application project; performed as project manager for implementation. Developed product scope definition and change request management framework. Introduced IT department to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), implemented ITIL foundation principles. Responsible for application deployment and system lifecycle management. Implemented service level agreement framework for customer support. Responsible for Tier I customer desktop support, and escalation of Tier II and III requests.
