2. We need to Love the City.London is a great City and I love it. 3. Sheep and FieldsSorry to say to all those Christians who love the pastoral approach of Sheep and fields, you need to go back to yourBible and ask the question what is it that God has promisedus actually he has promised us a City! 4. Rev 21:2 A.V.AndThe Message Then I, John, saw the holy city, NewJerusalem, coming down out of heaven fromGod, prepared as a bride adorned for herhusband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heavensaying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is withmen, and He will dwell with them, and they shallbe His people. God Himself will be with them andbe their God. 2I saw Holy Jerusalem, new-created, descendingresplendent out of Heaven, as ready for God as abride for her husband. 3-5I heard a voice thunder 5. However much as I love my City, I alsorecognise that it needs to be affectedby THE KINGDOM and I need to be aKINGDOM SEEKER. So I need to seekand find the Kingdom in my City. Infact we if we are the people of Godhave the capacity to pull downKingdom into this time space world ofKingdom 6. And in good ACE backgroundtraining we do that by engaging getting involved - getting ourhands dirty and seeking to changethe culture on which the city isbased or stands and to quote ACEit stands on the four legs thatmould and make culture. We Need To Change The City And ItsCulture 7. 1. PoliticsAffects so much, it is those areasthat govern and control I had a dream that maybe weshould, the followers of the way be themoulders of things like SocialServices, let me tell you it did not startwith Government, it was people of faiththat first saw the need to change andmend these areas. So we opened acompany called 9. This Company nowruns:Phoenix Community Care 10. Education Again, let me say it was not really governmentthat had the big ideas. Here it was people likeRobert Rakes who founded the Sunday Schoolmovement. He wanted to help poor youngstersread and write so that they could understandScripture. It was Sunday School because thatwas the only day they were not working and couldlearn. So many people accuse me of brainwashingchildren. My answer is what do you think thatothers are doing. Many of us need our brainswashed. We need a Kingdom focus in our lives We need to educate our children, it is a powerfulforce for the future, and it really is putting in 15. OUR SCHOOL IN SRI LANKA 16.
