LESS TEXT

Presentations are summaries, not a lifetime memoir. Ensure you include key

points of the topic/subject/whatever you are covering. Too much text will annoy

the audience and it is likely they will fa

ll asleep due to boredom.

TRANSPARENCYHaving transparent pictures look great!

See the difference? Transparent pictures look more

professional and besides, why not do it? You don’t need

photoshop, just use the Remove Background tool in

powerpoint to remove annoying solid backgrounds.

COLOUR SCHEMEHaving a colour scheme makes your powerpoint more organised-looking.

Splashing random colours here and there makes your powerpoint messy to

see. Ensure you use colours which are readable.

Visuals attract the audiences’ eye – therefore place visuals which relate to what you are discussing. Visuals make the

powerpoint interesting, without it people will get bored. However, not too much. Ensure text can be read easily and images are not covering them.

Personally I think using templates is limiting your creativity. True they are

convenient but if you want some ‘YOU’ flair in your powerpoint, get creative

with your creative touches! This powerpoint is based on my touches – be

inspired to do the same to yours!
