He followedthe party ideology in letter and

spirit. IUML stands for Nationalunity and integrity, amity andpreservation of separate identityof minority communities. Thereare 3647 communities in India.This great nation belongs to allcommunities . There should beamity and understanding amongthe different communities , wemust always remember the goldensaying that United we stand,

divided we fall . Muslim is a word coined not by

any human being but by Almighty Allah .We are the followers ofProphet Muhammad(sal). Whereasit is with the other communitypeople. The word Hindu is nowhere in Veda, Christian no wherein Bible , Persian no where in Zend

Avesta, Sikh no where in GrantSahib. It is in fact Muslims whocoined the word Hindu . Howmany of us know this fact? In thiscountry a struggle is going on .Ifat all we have to ght, we haveto ght in the Quranic way. Therewas a ght with Sticks , ght withrods , ght with guns and bombs. The Holy Quran says we haveto ght with Quran in our hands

and hearts . We have to

ght withthe knowledge and guidance ofthe Quran. That is the meaning ofJihad. We have to ght againstinjustice and social inequality.

This ght with Quran inour hand and heart will be thelast ght. In this ght the entireworld will come to way of peace.The Dheen of Allah will excel,by establishing the superiorityof Quran over all the weapons,

presently we are passing throughsuch phase.

What is meant by preservingMuslim identity ? Our mosques,darghas, madrasas, burkas, beard,caps, names, festivals, culturesetc., are all our identities. We striveto preserve our identity and helpothers to preserve their identities.Khalid Zubaidi worked hard topreserve this identity .This historyshould be preserved for ever.

Where ever IUML functions,wherever IUML ag ies therepeace and communal amity prevailand bring honour and respect tothe Muslim Community.

IUML is the only partybearing the word Muslim in itsnomenclature. This word appearsin the Quran in many places. Ifyou loose this word, you will loose

SHRI E.T. MOHAMMADBASHEER (PONNANI): It ishigh time to remodel the PrimeMinisters 15 Point Programmefor welfare of the minorities.Three important bodies havesuggested changes in thescope, implementation andmonitoring of this programme.The report of the PlanningCommissions SteeringCommittee on Empowerment of theMinorities, the National AdvisoryCouncils (NAC) recommendationsfor the 12th Five-Year Plan Towardsinclusive development to empowerminorities and the outcome budgetof the Ministry of Minority Affairsfor the year 2012-13 have spelt out

Implement Prime Ministers 15 Point programme for the Welfare of the MinoritiesE.T. Muhammed Basheer M.P., appeals in Loksabha

the changes that would be requiredfor effective implementation of theprogramme.

The 15-Point Programme aimsat enhancing opportunities foreducation, ensuring an equitableshare for minorities in economicactivities and employment, through

existing new schemes, enhancedcredit support for self-employment,

recruitment to State and CentralGovernment jobs, improving theliving condition of minorities etc.

The programme also seeksto ensure that the bene ts ofvarious government schemes forthe underprivileged reach thedisadvantaged sections of theminority communities. This objectiveis sought to be achieved throughearmarking 15% of the targets andoutlays under various schemes forthe minorities.

The Steering Committee on theEmpowerment of Minorities duringthe 12th Five-Year Plan, for instance,suggests certain key changes for

implementation, monitoring andreporting of the 15-Point Programmeboth at the Central and State levels,based on the recommendationsof the NAC report. The NAC andthe Steering Committee pointout that only a limited numberof schemes are included in the15-Point Programme. They havesuggested for expanding the basketto include additional schemes fromthe Ministries of Small and MediumIndustries, Youth Affairs, Agricultureand Rural Development (especiallyMGNREGA).

In the light of the above facts,I urge upon the Government totake urgent necessary steps in thisregard.

DMK President Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi said on Nov 25 that the

inclusive government promised byPrime Minister Narendra Modi wouldbe in trouble if he did not preventthe Sangh Parivar from pursuing itsown agenda.

Replying to a question on talksof compulsory Sanskrit and Hindunation, he said the recent statementsof the Sangh Parivar leaders and thegovernments decision to replaceGerman with Sanskrit in Kendriya

Vidyala had shocked those who hadfaith in secularism.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal has said that Sanskritshould be made compulsory. Manymore things will be made compulsoryin times to come. Sanskrit is thelanguage of our country. Everythingwas written in Sanskrit thousands ofyears ago. If you want to eliminate it,you want to eliminate this country,he said.

Water Resources Minister UmaBharti took the argument furtherwhen she said Sanskrit could, incourse of time, replace English as

a link language which everyone inIndia would understand. Sanskrit isa truly national language. In everyvillage of India, you will nd twoor three people who are extremelyknowledgeable about Sanskrit. Thesame cannot be said of English. Thefact is that there are more people inIndia who can speak and understandSanskrit than people who can speakor understand English, she said..:

Kalaignar referred to theeditorial in `The Hindu (Tamil) onNovember 24 which stated. Inthe era of globalisation, science

and technology remained as theimportant forces determininglanguage. In the circumstances ofthe domination of English in theseelds world over, the governmenthad no plans to prepare Indianlanguages to face that challenge.But, this e government even whileembracing globalization on the oneside desired t back to Vedic periodon the other side.

The Prime Minister should put anend to the Sangh Parivars agendabefore it becomes dif cult for him tohandle, he said.

DMK President Kalaignar on Nov25 said the ADMK government hadacted very late in announcingthe Global Investors Meet (GIM)scheduled next year as many Stateshad already targeted investors in

Tamil Nadu.Reacting to

the governmentsannouncement thatthe GIM would beheld during May 23-24next year in Chennai,Kalaignar noted thatthe conference wasoriginally scheduledin October but gotdelayed in the wakeof unseating of ADMKleader Jayalalitha

as Chief Minister following herconviction in the assets case. Whenthe Assembly general elections aredue in the next one year, there willbe no or little use in conducting sucha meet.

There were streams of Ministersand teams from other States visitingTamil Nadu and inviting investors inthe State to invest in their States.Karnatakas Congress Chief MinisterSiddharamaiah visited Coimbatorein January this year and succeededin getting investment of Rs. 12,000crore from about 200 entrepreneurs

of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode andother western districts. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister

Shivraj Singh Chouhan visitedthe city on August 28 and wooedentrepreneurs. Pitchforking himselfas the CEO (chief executiveof cer) of the State, Chouhanurged industrialists in the region toinvest in his State. Our industrialpolicy is investor friendly. Wecan give power on a 24X7 basisto industries, the law and ordersituation is good, we have createda land pool, about 20,000 hectares

of land is available and we can giveit easily to industries, promisedsingle window clearances andindustry-friendly policies,, investorscan meet me every Monday evenwithout having an appointment,

you wont face any problems whenyou come to our State, A Ministerfrom Andhara Pradesh also visitedthe State and invited the investorsto come to his State. The ChiefMinister of West Bengal MamataBanerjee, this month, sent a teamof senior of cials to Chennai tosell the industrial potential of herState to industrial investors in TamilNadu, which was followed by thevisit of Gujarat Finance MinisterSaurabhbhai Patel who promisedinvestors uninterrupted powersupply if they set up business there;that when it comes to power weare way ahead of other States inthe country. We will never havedecit.Gujarat had surplus powerand vibrant energy sector. The Staterequired 13,000 MW of power, buthad an installed capacity of 22,000MW. We want to give more thrustto the service sector, especially IT/ITeS. As per the electronics policy,the government will offer 100 percent subsidy on Central Sales Taxand VAT refund equal to 90 percent of capital investment made forexpansion of existing manufacturingunits, Saurabhbhai said.

Global Investors Meet, proposedto be held here next year whenSecretary of State for Business,Innovation and Skills, UnitedKingdom, Vince Cable called on him.
