Emotiv Headsets

• Tan Lee founded Emotiv lifesciences in 2003. Since then they have made 2 different types of headset, there isn't much difference between them other than what the headset reads.

Epoc & Insight

Scientists can now translate brain activity of thoughts into words, to understand what a person is thinking about. It picks up on the brain signals and patterns and matches them with known brain patterns

when thinking of a certain thing.

This is emotiv head gear that needs to be worn to be able to read brain activity. Embedded in the headset are 16 electrodes that press lightly on the head, monitoring the electrical signals of the brain.

This is a example of brain activity the head set will read and the computer will translate.

• Emotiv can be used for video games, you will be able to vaporize onscreen enemies with an angry thought, or virtually move your arm or anything just by thinking about it.

• It will help the paralyzed if they were to wear a headset or get brain sensors implanted they could move a robot and after enough time their bodies.

• Emotiv also could be used to help people speak by reading the brain waves and having a speaker play the thoughts aloud.

• The headset can be used to measure stress and meditation levels.

• Emotive Life sciences technology has came a long way since 2003 when it was founded. It will evolve more and soon will be used in every day life.
