their current grade level, often have a difficult time with their reading

comprehension and literacy skills. This Unit Plan is designed to give students a real-word perspective of conflict in their everyday lives. They will also take apart their favorite various short stories, television, and motion pictures. To understand conflict in literary pieces, this

I will use my Essential and Unit Questions to:

• Find out exactly what students know about conflict.

• Gather information on higher-order thinking and 21st century skills:

• By creating an original personal biography where student at the end tell me using 3 words what conflict is to them.

• Student will, using 3 words format, create a :30 second Animoto video visually showing Conflict in 3 words.
