During the past two years extensive consultation included:

working groups of library professionals in both provinces

research and writing by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education

input from a variety of professionals in the fields of school libraries, RDA, and cataloguing.

High-quality data ensures a functional integrated library system (ILS).

Accessible bibliographic data opens communication with other libraries including public libraries.
