Before the InterviewBefore the Interview
Arrive no earlier than fifteen minutes prior to the interview
Make sure you have the necessary items with you for the interview
Leave the cell phone in the vehicle
Check yourself in mirror for appearance check
Breath and exude confidence
Know the CompanyKnow the Company
Use resources to find out the history of the company, industry statistics, and leadership staff
Be aware of the size of the company; do they have other locations, where are headquarters located, where are they looking to expand
AppearanceAppearance Clean, trimmed
fingernails
Groomed hair
Avoid fragrance as some individuals are sensitive
Maintain good posture
Women: tailored paint-suit or skirt with color-coordinated top
Men: suit with white shirt and quiet tie
Come PreparedCome Prepared Bring several
polished resumes
Have several questions ready to ask the interviewer
Bring a folder and pen to take notes
Bring several references to give if requested
During the InterviewDuring the Interview
Keep constant eye contact
Maintain a high energy level
Show confidence and determination
Keep movements to a minimum; hand gestures, moving in chair, etc.
Give thorough answers with examples
