79% Malbec | 11% Tannat | 10% Petit Verdot The Wine The 2016 Black’s Station Malbec opens with beautiful plum and berry fruit aromas with a hint of violets. A silky entry leads to flavors of blackberry cobbler and blueberry pie that give way to a touch of vanilla and bittersweet chocolate on the finish. Robust tannins frame the smooth flavors and make this a versatile wine that will pair well with lamb dishes and lasagna. The Sry Due east of Napa, tucked away in northern California’s rolling Dunnigan Hills, is a little town called Zamora. But back in the late 1800’s, folks around here used to call it Black’s Station. At its height, this hub founded by J.J. Black boasted a hotel, two stores, a jail, blacksmith shops and a town hall. Today we grow our grapes in Zamora and we like to think that they carry with them the character and frontier-style of that old town. Appellation: Yolo County Barrel Aging: Fourteen months in a blend of American, French and Hungarian oak TA: .576 g/100mL pH: 3.79 Alcohol: 13.9% Production: 3,200 cases www.blacksstation.com ©2017 MATCHBOOK WINE COMPANY, ZAMORA, CA 95698 ALC: 13.9%
