ABOUT THE TOWN OF TWO HILLS

The Town of Two Hills is located in the southwest corner of the Alberta HUB region. Alberta HUB is a partnership of communities, post-secondary educational institutions and business/industry in northeastern Alberta meant to enhance the economic interests of the region. Two Hills is a perfect blend of town and country. With a growing population of over 1,400 and strategically located on Highways 36 and 45, Two Hills is the perfect place to raise a family and to enjoy an active lifestyle. Employment opportunities in the agriculture and oil and gas industries are excellent and business opportunities are endless. We are situated close enough to Edmonton to enjoy the benefits our capital city has to offer, but far enough to enjoy a contemporary lifestyle without the problems and congestion of big city living - just imagine living only a couple of minutes away from the downtown core.

The Town of Two Hills is a member of the Northeast Alberta Information HUB, the regional economic development alliance of Northeast Alberta.

Healthcare

The Two Hills Health Care Centre is an accredited multi-level care complex offering acute and long-term care. The complex opened its doors in the Spring of 1986 and contains current state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, enabling it to be a valuable health care resource to Two Hills and the surrounding area. The Centre also offers 24-hour emergency services, palliative care, rehabilitation, radiology and more.

Educational options include:

Two Hills School (K-12) offers all regular academic programs with French as a second language in grades four to 12. In high school, full academic programming and a variety of complimentary courses are offered.

Two Hills Mennonite School provides a unique educational opportunity.

Post-secondary facilities are located within 45 minutes of Two Hills. University Blue Quills (UnBQ) is in St. Paul, and Portage College has campuses in St. Paul and Saddle Lake.

Two Hills has evolved over a century into a major and modern regional center catering to the needs of a perennially prosperous agricultural area. The Town has approximately 100 businesses that offer a full variety of services. Two Hills has numerous community clubs and organizations including Family Community Social Services (FCSS). Recreation

Recreation in Two Hills revolves around its excellent facilities, all contained within the D.M. Geleta Recreational Park. Within these grounds are the Two Hills Centennial Hall and Two Hills Centennial Arena, and a new recreational facility featuring a 3-sheet curling rink, large open recreation room, and an exercise facility. Features include the Two Hills Indoor Swimming Pool, ball parks, rodeo grounds, tennis courts and a picnic site along the banks of the Vermilion River. In addition, there is a Two Hills Senior Citizens Club, a youth centre, and several playgrounds for children to play in. Two Hills also has one of the most picturesque nine-hole golf courses and driving range in Northeastern Alberta.
