InOctober,formerLt.GovernorBeckySkillmanandCongressmanLeeHamiltonunveiledthenewIndianaBicentenniallicenseplatethatisnowthenewstandardforallIndianapassengervehicles.TheBicentennialplatereplacesthecurrentbluebackground“Torch”plateandmaybefeaturedonnearlytwomillionvehiclesstatewide.TheBicentennialplaterunsforafiveyearcycleasthestatepreparesforthe200anniversaryofstatehoodin2016.

TheBureauofMotorVehicles(BMV)issuestheBicentennialplateatnoadditionalchargetoHoosiers.TheBicentennialCommissiondoesnotreceiveanyfundingfromvehicleregistrationrenewals.

“Thestate’sbicentennialisinfouryearsandwhatbetterwaytomarketthecelebrationthanonthebumpersofHoosiervehicles,”Lt.Governor

TheBMVandtheIndianaStateMuseumcollaboratedonthedesignoftheBicentennialplate.ThenewBicentennialplatefeaturesabluestateofIndianalogowitha200marqueeacrossthefrontand19stars,whichencirclethestateemblem.The19thstarrepresentsIndiana’sadmittanceintotheUnitedStates.Thereisalsoagoldbanneracrossthebottomwiththeinscription,“Bicentennial1816-2016.”

EmployeeswhohaveanapprovalforintermittentFMLinthecurrentfiscalyear(July1,2012throughJune30,2013),andanticipatethattheneedforFMLwillcontinueafterJune30ofthisyear,arerequiredtolog-intoPeopleSoft®Self-ServiceandcompletetheonlinerequestanduploadanewCertificationofHealthCareProviderdocumentingthatneed.
