The German army was very mobile and was able to surround Soviet armies quickly

The USA had supplied Britain with war supplies and stopped trading with Japan, Italy and Germany

This severely effected Japan’s ability to wage war.

Historians have argued that American spies were aware that Britain was at the brink of losing the war.
Nazi occupation of Britain would have been a detrimental defeat for the entire world.

On June 6th 1944 the Allies organized the largest attack to reclaim French land, Operation Overlord
Over 130’000 troops stormed the beach of Normandy.

By July 4th 1944 over one-million men had landed on the beach and were entering France.
