about sally and holly.

Sally and Holly are typefaces designed for illustrative lettering purposes.Their letterforms stem from the fictional characters of

Happy Holly, the rich, spoiled princess based on the modern Paris-Hiltonesqueteenage girl stereotype; and Sad Sally, a glum, depressive girl based

on the millenial Emo kid fad.

The two typefaces are designed to be used together with the purpose of contrasting the moods of often diametrally

opposite characters of fairy tales and other children’s stories.

hollyHolly is the impossible princess. A bit spoiled by riches, perhaps, but definitely fun to be around; sets the happy mood for any story you can think of.

sallySally must be Emo. How else could one describe the greasy bangs, the slouched postureand the gloomy attitude? Guaranteed to depress, her font must be Emo too.
