The Red Shed at Uraidla - 9:30am-1:00pm (Greenhill Road, Uraidla, opp. Swamp Road), gold coin donation. A community shed where you can work on your own project, have a go at repairing your broken items, or join in a community project. No special skills required, friendly company - all welcome!

The Villages Nature Playgroup - 9:30am-11:45am (Basket Range Cricket Club , Lot 10 Range Road, Basket Range), $100 per term (additional siblings $20 per term). For children under 4yrs.

NEW Upcycled Costumes and Craft - 1:00pm - 2:45pm, gold coin donation. An informal group where you can work on your own project and learn from others, with a special focus on upcycling to create new treasures.

Painting Group - 9:30am-1:00pm, first and third Monday of the month, gold coin donation. Beginners welcome. Please bring your own materials.

Knit ‘n’ Stitch - 12:00pm-3:00pm, first Monday of the month, gold coin donation. Bring

along your latest work in progress and share ideas with a friendly, like-minded group.

Scrabble & Games (over 65s) - 10:00am-2:00pm, second and fourth Monday of the

month, $4. Social scrabble and games—a great way to meet friends!

This community centre features a fantastic Book Swap, tea and coffee, public computers,

Wi-Fi and a vine covered patio with the best view in Adelaide, available for community

use Monday - Friday 9:00am-3:00pm. Drop in and say hello!

Lino Club - 1:00pm-3:00pm, fourth Thursday of the month, $5. New printmakers welcome, tuition will be provided. Basic materials available for use. Bring own specialty materials.

Friday Smashing Ladies Mosaics - 10:00am - 2:00pm, (Basket Range Cricket clubrooms, 222 Range Rd), fourth Friday of the month, $6. The group works on basic mosaics but feel free to bring along another craft such as crochet or knitting. Please bring shared morning tea and own lunch. Tea and coffee provided. Let’s Do Bus Trips (for CHSP eligible over 65s) - $5, plus lunch and tour cost if applicable (second Wednesday of the month). A range of exciting day trips, visiting a different destination every month.

Uraidla Chat ‘n Do (over 65s) - monthly (Summertown Uniting Church), $10. Craft, exercise, speakers, entertainment and friendship, morning tea and lunch provided.

Karra Watta Café Community Lunches* A free community lunch available to anyone in the community who is feeling a little isolated, is new to the area, or would like to reconnect with old friends and make new connections by coming together over a meal. The last café of the year will have a distinct Christmas flavour! Macramé Table Runner Workshop* Mary from Knot Modern will be teaching the fun and therapeutic craft of macramé. The Red Shed comes to the Uraidla and Summertown Show* Visit the volunteers from the Red Shed and have a go at decorating your own wooden spinning top, plus see the many beautiful things that shed participants have been creating this year. Amish Rug Weaving Workshop* Using a method also know as 'toothbrush weaving' you can learn the technique to make customised floor rugs (or stash baskets) from repurposed quilt covers, sheets and fabric scraps. All materials provided (including your own weaving needle to take home). Bring along your own fabric, quilt covers, or sheets if you’d like a specific colour scheme. Furoshiki and Japanese Card Making* Learn the beautiful Japanese art of fabric wrapping - a simple way to reduce your environmental footprint this Christmas. Virtual Reality –Come and Try Virtual reality is coming to The Summit! Experience this emerging and highly interactive technology for free and you can travel the world without jumping on a plane, create a 3D painting, or explore the solar system. Sessions are limited to 25 minutes per person and some exclusions apply . Hand-built Clay Homewares (3 session series)* Learn the art of hand-building clay objects and utensils. This relaxing, tactile and fun series of three workshops will focus on a variety of hand building techniques and clay decoration. Make unique homewares: mugs, spoons, saucers, bowls, vases and candle holders. Materials and firing included. ‘Imagine This’ an Art Exhibition by Mel Laraway - a versatile and vibrant exhibition from a local artist. Kokedama Workshop* Kokedama means 'moss ball'. Learn the art of creating your own in a hands on workshop with all materials provided. Bring nature into your home with these gorgeous living decorations. Woody Trails BMX Jam* Part of the Adelaide Hills BMX, Skate and Scooter Series, join the informal fun all day, plus book in for BMX coaching 10:00am- 12:00pm. Demos 12:00pm - 2:00pm and Jam Session with prizes from 2:00 - 4:00pm. No helmet, no ride. An Introduction to Home Beekeeping* Sandy Ullrich has been a beekeeper for nine years and is founder of Adelaide Bee Sanctuary (ABS). ABS beehives can be found in the CBD and surrounding metropolitan regions. This presentation will focus on the principles of urban beekeeping and required beekeeping equipment for successful hive management.

Poppies Project Can you knit, crochet, sew, or are willing to learn? Local groups The Ring of Oaks Quilters, Pins ‘n’ Needles, and Spinners and Weavers have started creating poppies for a second spectacular wall hanging that will feature on the Gumeracha Town Hall and we need all the help we can get! Virtual Reality - Under the Sea Experience the wonder and majesty of the ocean with ‘The Blu’, a program that allows you to have an underwater experience from dry land. Gumeracha Skate Park Sunday Session Part of the Adelaide Hills BMX, Skate and Scooter Series, join the informal fun all day, plus book in for coaching sessions. Blend Your Own Tea* Join certified tea master and blender, Belinda Hellyer, from the award wining tea company Brewed By Belinda, and learn the alchemy of tea. Create your own organic blend to take home. Bliss! Family ‘Build Your Own’ Recycled Christmas Tree Volunteers from the Gumeracha Green Shed will help you build your very own timber Christmas tree from recycled timber pallets. Learn some trade secrets and get the satisfaction of building something memorable. Suitable for ages 8yrs and above, children must be supervised by a parent or guardian for assistance during the workshop. All materials supplied, please wear enclosed shoes and have hair tied back.
