We’re Still the Industry Leader. We led the industry in the unique application of engi-neered thermoplastics for transformer components. With our history as proof, new product development is a high priority at Central Moloney Components. A number of CM patents serveas testimony to the originality of our new design effort. We not only welcome, we encouragefeedback from customers on ideas for new and improved products.

Test Bushings

Our unique application of engineered thermo-plastics has revolutionized the industry. Upgrading thermoset and porcelain productswith thermoplastic designs allows improve-ment in product strength, weatherability, sealing, size and – importantly – cost.

The trending material for components is ther-moplastics, but many products are still bestwhen made of thermoset material.

Because thermoplastics solidify as they coolto a temperature below their melting point, they are limited to applications using thin-walldesign. Thermoset resin hardening resultsfrom the chemical reaction of mixture com-ponents, and are suitable for designs that require a thick cross section. Our engineersunderstand these properties, and will selectthe best material for your product application.

Central Moloney offers the industry’s broad-est array of thermoset epoxy components. Ofhigh-grade cycloaliphatic epoxy, our castcomponents offer superior tensile strength, weathering and electrical attributes.

For high-volume production runs, we usemulticavity steel molds in a high-pressuretransfer molding process. Additionally, ourgravity casting department uses cost-effec-tive aluminum tooling to introduce new prod-ucts at a fraction of the production cost ofother methods.

We can also use this low-cost, low-volumetechnology to provide the exact replacementfor your leaking secondary bushing or an-other specialty product at modest pricing.

“Assembled in U.S.A.” It’sNot Just a Marketing PhraseWhen we talk about manufacturing our product line in theUnited States, we mean it. No fudging. No backpedaling.Approximately 100 local area citizens are employed at ourPine Bluff, Arkansas plant, carefully manufacturing andshipping our components to customers worldwide. Weare proud to support our families, our community, and in-directly, thousands of workers across the United States.
