The vision informs the mission the mission informs the goals and then the mission and vision are used to evaluate the goals Together they give shape to the life of the company or the congregation They tell us where we should put our resources So as we go through the process of setting our vision and mission statements and then using them to develop goals I hope you will think big (though maybe not as big as Amazon whose vision is to be earths most customer-centric company to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online) After all we do have to develop those measurable and attainable goals See you in Church Pamela

Dear First Parish UU

I would like to extend sincere thanks for two recent helpful donations youve made to Haley House in Boston Thank you for the large load of new socks you sent in around New Years Almost every guest who comes through our weekly clothing room has a need for fresh socks I can attest that a fresh pair of socks can really brighten a persons day Also thank you for the several beautiful Farberware pots and pans that you attained after so diligently saving rewards points The majority of these pots and pans are now being enjoyed by several residents of the Haley House affordable housing units Additionally we the live-in community at Haley House soup kitchen gratefully integrated several of the pans into our upstairs community kitchen and have enjoyed cooking with such elegant equipment On behalf of everyone at Haley House we are grateful for your continued support and humbled by your thoughtfulness

Sincerely Karsten Frey
