Magrino understood the need to pivot, to innovate and to grow with our clients during these times, and we were able to successfully execute over 50 virtual events, wine and spirits tastings, Instagram and Facebook Live sessions and media interviews, as well as host over 200 media (via Zoom) at our annual First Look event in July, all while welcoming over 35 new clients into the Magrino family.

This year, it became critical to craft careful and strategic messaging for our clients to ensure we brought value to media and the conversation at large, and did not appear opportunistic in times of crisis. Magrino has helped many clients with messaging, proactive media

relations, and changes to programming to ensure a timely, relevant and useful exchange of ideas and information.

Magrino has pivoted to engage in new ways with media and on strategy for its clients to activate with consumers in this new world, leveraging digital platforms, new media and other forms of technology. Additionally, Magrino created best practices documents for

navigating both traditional PR and social media output during a crisis, namely the recent public health crisis.

Pinterest gained 1.98M impressions, 1.02M audience views, and 63.51K engagements due to our work-from-home related strategy shift in response to COVID-19.

Cuisinart Social Media Ice Cream ContestJuly – August 2020Executed a 6-week ice cream giveaway across Instagram and Facebook, achieving a 4.03% average engagement rate on Instagram, 190.2k total impressions, and 15.4k total engagements across all giveaway posts. Secured 2 influencers to post content (2 posts each/4 posts total) tying into our National Ice Cream Month Giveaways in July and August, which garnered 4.8k engagements, 69.2k impressions, and a 4.07% average engagement rate.

1 Picasso for 100 Euros Raffle May 2020| Paris, FranceMagrino secured top-tier media placements for the charity raffle of a Picasso painting valued at $1 million with outlets including Fox Business News’ Mornings with Maria, Fox 5’s Good Day New York, CNN, Robb Report, New York Post and Artsy.

Positioned as a calming, relaxing alternate to the overwhelming, ubiquitous streaming services on the market, Hendrick’s Streaming was featured in Mental Floss, Forbes, Inside Hook and more.

Midtown Social: Opening a Restaurant Pop-Up Amid COVID-19 PandemicAugust 2020With Magrino’s recently launched 90-day PR program, Savory, a boutique hospitality company in NYC, pivoted their mainly corporate catering work to open an outdoor pop-up restaurant at their commissary kitchen. Magrino helped the Foundation get the word out via targeted media relations with outlets like Food & Wine, Politico, and Yahoo Finance.

Heitz Cellar Supports Charities and Nourishes Community Amid COVID-19 PandemicMarch 2020Magrino proactively pitched Heitz Cellar’s pandemic relief efforts, including a commitment to ensuring not only the safety and security of their staff by paying their salaries in full indefinitely, but also providing relief to the community by donating an estimated $10,000 of beef to local charity partners. Additionally, Magrino secured press coverage following the distribution of a reservations open, grand opening and chef appointment releases. Conrad Washington, DC Reopening August 2020| Washington DCMagrino worked with Conrad Washington, DC, to craft messaging that spoke to its customers needs as it related to safety and cleaning measures, as well as positioning the hotel as a luxury product. Magrino secured media placements in outlets including Washington Business Journal Online, Business Insider and key trade outlets, as well as coordinated a press visit by Esquire magazine.

Christie's International Real Estate NYC Brokerage Grows Instagram 30%January – June 2020By focusing content on virtual property tours and current home wish list items such as home office and outdoor space, Magrino increased the Instagram following by 36% and Facebook Page likes by 45%, while also garnering 2.2M Instagram impressions and 21.3k total Facebook engagements.

SHA Wellness Reveals New Protocols May 2020 | SpainIn advance of reopening, Magrino highlighted the aggressive protocols the resort put in place to ensure the safety of their guests and positioning the resort as a leader in the hospitality industry. Every July, Magrino hosts its annual First Look client showcase. In 2020 thisevent was adapted to be entirely virtual, proving to be our most successfulever with nearly 200 media and influencers attending.

Taking place via Zoom over four days, Magrino engaged with tastemakermedia across the country to learn about our clients’ fourth quarter offerings,with client activations like appliance demos, wine and spirits tastings, and360-degree on-site tours of incredible travel destinations around the world.
