The Short Journey from Heathrow Airport

It’s a cliché to say that the key to any valuable property is location, location and location, but it’s become a cliché, in large part, because it happens to be true. The same thing which can be applied to looking for somewhere to live is also true when it comes to finding a hotel to stay in

If anything, it’s even more apt, since an inconvenient location is something which could be adapted to over a period of years, but will undoubtedly completely spoil a short trip somewhere, when you haven’t got the time or inclination to work out how to make the best of things.

Hotels in London fall into this category more than any other. Get it right, and you’ll be close to the tube and bus links needed to explore the city, and hopefully on the doorstep of an area which is vibrant and lively, without being so noisy and boisterous that it ruins your chances of getting a good night’s sleep. Get it wrong and you could be stuck in some out of the way backwater miles from the attractions and places which you’ve come to visit, or else find yourself struggling to sleep in a room overlooking a busy main road which roars with traffic until the early hours of the morning.

The Hyde Park Premier London manages to tick all of the right boxes in terms of location, whilst avoiding the pitfalls that Central London can throw into the path of the unwary traveller. It sits close to Paddington station and the attendant tube links, whilst also being just a short walk away from the wide open green spaces of Hyde Park and the cosmopolitan elegance of the Notting Hill district. One of the main advantages of this location, particularly for travellers weary after a long journey, is the fact that it had direct and speedy transport links to Heathrow airport. Heathrow is one of the 5 airports serving London and is a transport hub for the whole of the UK and indeed the world.

The train which links Heathrow airport to Paddington is an express train which takes only 15 minutes to complete the direct journey, and runs every 15 minutes throughout the day from terminal 5 at the airport, with the first train leaving at or around 6 o’clock in the morning. Having arrived at Paddington station it is literally then just a 10 minute walk or even quicker taxi ride, straight down Craven Road to Craven Gardens.

The same convenience then applies either to getting the train back to Heathrow or making use of the underground system to travel to other parts of London. The ease and convenience of the Tube trains cannot be overestimated, and taking them to get around the city will ensure that you get the most out of your stay.
