Preparatory work: SHA quarterly review of progress with Trust

Sept 07: SHA submits list of acute trusts

October 07: DH advise which Trusts should go to public consultation

Nov-Jan 08: Trusts carry out public consultation on their applications.

Feb 08: Formal application for Secretary of State support.

March 08: Secretary of State approval decision

April-June 08: Monitor’s assessment process.

July 08: Authorisation given.
