La Rue had been a long standing member since 2008 and had attended 12 tea events. La Rue was a dear friend of Donna Lehigh. In March, we lost Vanessa Shive. Vanessa had been a member since 2009, had attended 27 tea events and traveled with us on six trips, including the 2014 May Lake District, England trip. Vanessa was the daughter- in-law of Lois Mintun. Joan Rinehart passed away in August. She was a good friend of Judy Elicker and had been a member since 2013. Since then, she had attended 14 tea events. In September, Lori Lemkelde passed away. In July she moved from Pennsylvania to Missouri to live with her sister, Linda Webb, who is also a club member. Lori joined in 2010 and attended 26 tea events. She is sadly missed by her good friend, Terry Moyer, and many others.

This has been a very sad year for our club. We have lost four of our members. They will be greatly missed.

In January La Rue Sipes passed away. La Rue had

been a long standing member since 2008 and had attended 12 tea events. La Rue was a dear friend of

Donna Lehigh.

In March, we lost Vanessa Shive. Vanessa had been a member since 2009, had attended 27 tea events and traveled with us on six trips, including the 2014 May

Lake District, England trip. Vanessa was the daughter-in-law of Lois Mintun.

Joan Rinehart passed away in August. She was a

good friend of Judy Elicker and had been a member

In September, Lori Lemkelde passed away. In July she

moved from Pennsylvania to Missouri to live with her sister, Linda Webb, who is also a club member. Lori

joined in 2010 and attended 26 tea events. She is sadly missed by her good friend, Terry Moyer, and many

others.

reservations may be canceled and still get a refund or credit. (Refunds are only sent after the last tea event of the year.)

Steam into History Train Ride and Tea We will board The William H. Simpson #17, a faithful replica of the Civil War steam locomotive that carried Abraham Lincoln to deliver his now famous Gettysburg Address. These same tracks carried Lincoln’s funeral train two years later. Come experience history as you ride in custom built coaches, pulled by a 1860s replica steam locomotive. The train will depart the New Freedom (PA.) Train Station promptly at 11:00 AM. We will travel to Glen

Rock where we will disembark at 11:30 AM to have tea at The Glen Rock Mill Inn. After the tea, we will re-board the train and depart at 1:00 PM for our return to the New Freedom Train Station at 1:30 PM. A costumed guide will be on board to discuss the Civil War and Victorian teas. Members Price: $45.00. (Non-members price: $47.50.) Address: 2 W. visited the fabulous Silver, Wood, and Ivory duo. Now, back by popular request - we will once again travel to Lititz for lunch and a concert in Cindy’s beautiful

sunroom. (www.silverwoodandivory.com) You will have a catered tea luncheon in Cindy's home, enjoy a performance by these very talented ladies, AND you will take home one of their CDs, of your choice, to always remember this wonderful event. TIPS FOR CRAFT SHOW SHOPPERS:

1. Most crafters accept only cash. Be sure to take along 1’s and 5’s as twenties from the ATM can wipe out a crafter’s change supply 2. Some craft items are fragile and not to be handled. If in doubt about an item…ask first 3. Take along a tote bag to carry your purchases So much easier than handling multiple bags 4. Photographing products is oftentimes not allowed by the crafter…ask first and don’t sneak a photo with your cell phone 5. If a crafter is offering the Honor System for Payment…don’t hesitate to use it…the crafter is trusting that the shoppers are honest people
