King’s CROss AnD sT. PAnCRAs

Named after a monument to King George IV

in 1834, King’s Cross became a focal point

for Victorian enterprise. Now, many of the

old warehouses, storage depots, mews and

stables have been restored and re-purposed

for the modern lifestyle.

St. Pancras International station is not only

a travel gateway, but is already a destination

in its own right. Featuring Europe’s longest

champagne bar, it has its own restaurants,

shops, hotel and live events.

With the British Library and its 14 million

books, King’s Cross is central to the nation’s

cultural life. Recent projects have built on

this status. There are new art galleries and a

concert hall that is home to two orchestras.

REGENT’S PARK

The 410-acre Regent’s Park, considered one

of the finest of London’s Royal Parks, is more

than a green lung – it is a living, breathing

playground for the city and home to London

Zoo, the Open Air Theatre, a boating lake,

play areas, sports pitches, cafés, vast open

spaces and more than 400 varieties of

rose. Adjoining it is Primrose Hill with its

magnificent panoramic views of London.

The Grand Union Canal runs through the park

BLOOMSBURY

In less than 20 minutes you can walk to
