IN FISCAL YEAR 2019 (FY19), MEDTRONIC:

Furthering Impact through Philanthropy We give back to the communities we serve by combining the power of our

company, employees, and the Medtronic Foundation to improve lives globally.

We establish partnerships to make investments based on impact and

outcomes for underserved communities, including financial contributions,

product donations, volunteer support, and charitable third-party

medical education.

SUPPORTING THE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH TALENT PIPELINESince 2006, Medtronic and the Medtronic Foundation have supported FIRST® Robotics competition teams and events for kids from kindergarten to grade 12 with financial contributions and mentors. In FY19, 50 Medtronic employees volunteered more than 5,300 hours to FIRST® Robotics.

EMPOWERING COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERSA recent five-year global health program funded by the Medtronic Foundation expanded access to care for those with cardiovascular disease and diabetes in underserved communities in Brazil, India, South Africa, and the United States. The program trained 3,637 health workers and screened 65,000 previously undiagnosed people for hypertension and/or diabetes.
