PrayerfortheQueen’sJubilee

Almighty God, we pray that your servant Elizabeth, our Queen, who, by your providence has received the governance of this realm, may continue to grow in every virtue, that, imbued with your heavenly grace, she may be preserved from all that is harmful and evil and, being blessed with your favour may, with her consort and the royal family, come at least into your presence, through Christ who is the way, the truth and the life and who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

prayer Of The faiThful

May the joy of the Lord grow strong in us, as we pray for his blessing on the world.

For the Pope, successor of Peter and shepherd of the flock: may the Lord give him strength and wisdom to preserve the flock in unity. Lord, hear us.

For the Church in every land: that we may be a source of peace and understanding among peoples. Lord, hear us.

For all political leaders: that they may walk in the ways of diplomacy and negotiation, and avoid the evils of war.Lord, hear us.

For this community: that we may grow in the grace of the Lord’s commandment of love.Lord, hear us.

Lord, we rejoice to be members of the body of your Son, Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit increase in us wisdom and boldness, to break down barriers of prejudice and division, through the same Christ our Lord.
