Joe was victim to destructive decision making in September of 2006. After jumping from a movingvehicle in a stunt gone wrong, Joe suffered traumatic brain injuries along with paralysis on his right

side. After defying the odds and relearning every skill imaginable, Joe has been given a secondchance at life. With that second chance, Joe, along with the help of his parents and transition spe-

cialist at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka, KS,has developed a program (JOEWHITE "MvSTORY")that has the potential to prevent others from making life-altering mistakes such as the onethat tragically changed Joe's life forever. This message may not only be perceived to influence better

decision making, Joe's story is one of overcoming an enormity of obstacles as a teenager.
