Its hard to believe that it is yetagain time for back to schoolfor the kids. With schools beingthe hotbed of germs that theyare, I have been thinking a lotlately about the wordimmunotherapy. This may or

may not be a new thought; my guess is its sodeep in your chiropractic brain you didnt think tolet it out!

Immunotherapy is a treatment designed to assistthe body to heal itself. I guess you can refer toeating more greens, vegetables, fruit and less fastfood as a more natural form of immunotherapy.Allergy shots are referred to as immunotherapy.Weakened TB yes, Tuberculosis can be usedto treat bladder cancer as a form of chemotherapyreferred to as immunotherapy. In this therapy, thebladder recognizes the toxin TB, and the WBCsattack, full speed ahead and fights the cancer.

I think what we do every day when treating andtouching patients can also be referred to asimmunotherapy. You know why, and its a nice

extra benefit that we provide as a bonus with theadjustment.

Chiropractic helps the body that was designed toheal itself to do just that: heal itself. I would referto this as another natural form of immunotherapy. Ithink our patients need to know that we affect thissystem with every chiropractic treatment we give! Iam not sure if or how much we need to touch thethoracic region, but many people like their backtouched and rubbed and maybe this is why.Theres so much we dont know and then again,so much that we do!

Reminder note no matter how often someonegets chiropractic manipulative therapy, it is still themost effective, most natural, non-invasive, liver-and kidney-friendly pain relieving treatment avail-able for most of the worlds population! We arehelping patients to heal in more ways than weknow!
