Prayer: Lord, we thank You that we could have this conference withthousands of seekers coming here to seek after You according to Your

revelation and vision. Lord, open up this mysterious book to all of us.Grant us, Lord, the understanding. Grant us also the inner seeing. Lord,we trust in You. Sustain us and maintain us to the end. men.

!he sub"ect of these messages is the application of the interpretationof the #ew $erusalem to the seeking believers. !he burden for themessages in this book can be e%pressed in the following fourstatements:

&.!he #ew $erusalem is the greatest and the ultimate sign in theScriptures, signifying an organic constitution of the processed !riune

God mingled with 'is regenerated, transformed, and glori(ed tripartiteelect.

).*ts base is pure gold, signifying the divine nature of God+ it is thesolid foundation of its throne for the divine administration, which is theglorious center from which proceeds the divine and humancommunication, signi(ed by its street, to reach all its twelve gates.

.*ts gates are pearls, signifying the issue of the secretion of -hristsredeeming and life/releasing death and 'is life/dispensing resurrection.

0.*ts wall and its foundations are precious stones, consummated by theSpirit through 'is transforming and building work.

*n the past we released many messages to interpret this section of the1ord on the mystery of the #ew $erusalem. !hus, there is no need forus to repeat any past interpretation. 1e want to go on to apply toourselves what has already been interpreted. *n this (rst message, wewant to see and enter into the application of the signi(cance and thebase of the #ew $erusalem.

God and 'is redeemed people must have going and coming fellowship.#ot only so, Gods redeemed people must have going and comingfellowship among themselves.

Arom the throne proceeds the river of water of life, signifying the Spirit, and this Spirit is Gods owing out. >n the throne, God is the 2uler. street, the river, and the tree of life8reach all the twelve gates, whichsignify Gods redeemed elect. !he divine fellowship brings God to all'is redeemed people, to all the twelve gates, to bring all 'is redeemedpeople back to 'imself. Airst, the street goes from the throne to thetwelve gates. !hen it comes from the twelve gates to the throne.

#ow let us consider the application of this fellowship. *n applying this *would like to ask, C9efore you were saved, who was your ruler; 1hatwas your administration;D You yourself tried to be your own ruler andyou were a mess. ctually, you had no ruler or administration. >ne dayyou heard the gospel, which said, C2epent, for the kingdom of theheavens has drawn nearD 3Eatt. :)6. You needed to repent to comeunder the ruling of Gods kingdom. 9efore that time you were a personwith no ruler and no administration. 9ut you repented to the divine2uler and came under 'is administration. !hrough the gospel Godcame to be your kingdom. 'e is the Fing on the throne. -onnected to

'is throne is a street on which you should walk, and that street is 'isadministration. Arom the day you repented, you have felt that there isa throne and a golden street, a golden administration, within you. !henyou began to do things according to the gold, according to the natureof God. !his is because both the throne and the street are built on thegold as the nature of God.

1hen the brothers are buying a tie, they should buy it according to thedivine nature within them. !oday the shallow gospel never touches thismatter. 9ut in the high peak of the gospel we have to see this. !hegospel brings us back to God as our throne, to God as our

administration. 1e have to live a life in which we do everythingaccording to Gods nature. Bphesians 0 says that we should let nocorrupt word proceed out of our mouth 3v. )46. !his is because we arechildren of God. 1hen we speak anything, we need to remember thatwe are Gods children+ we are golden. !o speak corrupt things does notmatch our golden nature. >ur nature today is no longer "ust dusty butgolden. *f we take this word, it will change our life. 1e will be ad"ustedand regulated by the golden nature of God in all that we do. !he sisterswould not spend so much time to style their hair. !hat is not accordingto the golden throne, the golden administration.

ll of our fellowship should be according to Gods golden nature. !heriver is in the middle of the street, and the street is the golden nature.*n this fellowship is the river, the 'oly Spirit, as our beverage and oursupply to =uench our thirst. !hen we also have -hrist as the tree of lifefor our life supply to nourish us. *n order to e%perience all of this, wemust be on the golden street, the base of gold. 1e may feel that it isenough to say that our fellowship with God is our contacting God, andour fellowship with the saints is our contacting the saints. 9ut this is

Page 7: THE NEW JERUSALEM by Witness Lee.doc

not the deciding factor concerning whether or not our fellowship is thefellowship of God. !he fellowship of God must be based upon Godsdivine nature. * may go to visit a certain brother every day, but is thatthe real fellowship; 1hether that is the real fellowship or not isdetermined by whether or not it is based upon the golden nature within

me. *f my contact with a brother is not based upon the golden nature, then * am making a natural friendship with him. * am not practicing thespiritual fellowship of life based upon Gods divine nature.

s we enter into the e%perience and application of the divine nature ofGod, we make ourselves genuine parts of the #ew $erusalem.Bventually, we become golden in everything. Bvery department store isa place of temptation where we can depart from the golden nature tobuy things. Bven in the church life, we can make natural friendshipswith certain saints, but that is not the genuine fellowship. Aellowshipshould be based upon the golden nature within us. *f we practice this

fellowship, we are living as a part of the #ew $erusalem. 1e becomethe constituents of the #ew $erusalem. !his is not according to ouroutward doing but according to our inward being. !he inward being ofour -hristian life must be Gods golden nature. 1e should live, walk, and do everything based upon the golden nature within us.

!his is the application of the interpretation of the golden base of the#ew $erusalem to the seeking believers. 9ecause God has released thehigh peak of the divine revelation to us, we all have to learn the highand new language to speak forth the revelation of the #ew $erusalemas the greatest and ultimate sign in the Scriptures.

but not in the Godhead. !hen we need to release the truth concerningthe #ew $erusalem. Ey burden is to release these two great truths.Since the Lord has released these high peaks of 'is truths, we have tolearn the new language to speak them. Paul and the co/workers aroundhim were diOerent because of what they ministered. !oday in the

recovery all the co/workers must be diOerent. !hey must learn to speakthese high truths concerning Gods economy8that God became a manthat man may become God, with the #ew $erusalem as the ultimateconsummation. !his is a great miracle and a deep mystery. !he #ew $erusalem is constructed with the !riune God as the mainfactors. *t is furnished with the !riune God as the throne, as the temple3the palace6, and as the lamp. lso, #ew $erusalem is a city supplied bythe !riune God8the Aather as the source and the base, the Spirit as theow, the river, and the Son as the main supply to nourish the entirecity. !hrough this nourishment and divine beverage we members of thenew city grow in the divine life and are built together.

Arom now on we must consider that our work is a building work by thegrowth of the saints in the divine life. !he divine life is the <ivine !rinity, who is the structure, the furnishings, and the supply of the holycity. s we grow in the divine life and minister the !riune God to othersfor their growth in the divine life, we are building up the 9ody of -hrist,which will consummate the #ew $erusalem. 1e need to e%perience andspeak these things. !he more we speak, the more we will have tospeak. !he more we speak, the more we will be nourished andsatis(ed.
