In essence, the LHP represents an existential viewpoint, that is defined, in occult parlance, as the 'carnal doctrine': this is, a cognisant 'presencing' of the orgasmic nature of existence. Genuine Left Hand Path Traditions encourage, and indeed consider divine, indulgence through epistemological experience, thereby steeping LHP Initiates in all facets of the causal - and some Acausal unreality's - thus reflecting a multi-directional holistic viewpoint as opposed to a single direction linear perspective.For adherents of Western Left Hand Path Traditions the Dark Gods, Satan and His Bride Baphomet, re-present, as archetypes (per C.G. Jung), the energies inherent to the Sinister Path. These are the shadow gods: as integral to Nature and Humanity (see Order MS 'Prince of Darkness') as consciousness itself. They are the evolutionary and magickal manifestation of the primal.Moreover, the LHP is individualistic, esoteric and enclosed - the Hermetick Path of introversion, a self-contained Master-morality; where one strives for self-excellence. In essence, this is the continuation of evolution toward self-mastery and the sacred celestial destiny that awaits Human kind.The Right Hand Path is inherently patriarchal and extroverted; the exoteric path to a union with godhead; this means the RHP is essentially a Path of transcendental ethos: a subjugation, rather than a revelling in Being. Thus it is the well-spring for religious mentality and it's attendant hierarchies.The Right Handed Path is that of everyday consciousness and extraversion; asceticism and the linear and logical. Furthermore, it is because of the linear nature of the RHP that, as an ethos, it tends to impose logic -in the form of morality - upon the cosmos in order to make sense of it. But more importantly, it is the path of light and of Lucifer the light-bearer and Gaea who is Mother Earth.Sinister Tradition recognises the importance of the reconciliation of opposites: in the sense that both the Lunar and the Solar aspects of existence are considered elements of an entirety that is a cosmological completeness. This aspect of Sinister Tradition, and more specifically Satanism, is no more obvious than in the 'Sinister Dialectic'. Whereby a Syntheses is arrived at by way of the Hegelian formulae of Becoming: from whence Thesis together with Antithesis will result in Synthesis.Thus, the Synthesis, or balance, that is the quintessence of the Dark Tradition is a return to the natural continuation of the evolution of an organism in equilibrium with itself and its environment. A return to a civilisation no longer held captive by thought. Successive orthodoxy's have left the West a legacy of self-perpetuating viruses that continue to effect the Wyrd of its societies with disease and degeneration, thereby intensifying the state of imbalance that negates this civilisations forward momentum. This is most evident in society's conspicuous consumption and preoccupation with form over content. It is the continued infestations of these orthodoxy's that has resulted in the present Dark Age or 'Winter Phase' of the present civilisation.Satanism and the Sinister, in opposition to these forces, posses an inherent dynamism derived from an intuitive ethos. Moreover, it is the Darkling aspect, of the primeval feminine, that which existed first and gave birth to all else, that is the aspect of the Whole that is presenced by those who follow the Left Handed Path. Thus, it can be understood that the LHP is essentially a heresy within the context of the current patriarchal society; and that by re-presencing the feminine, Sinister Tradition restores a part of society to itself.For Initiates of The Order of the Deorc Fyre the initial experience of Symphysis is produced during the revelation of individuation. Individuation is the unfolding and synthesis of the individual's shadow self. The shadow being a psychologically potent and archaic aspect of Human consciousness. Individuation equates to a form of 'internal alchemy ' and is the foundation of Hermetick Magick (q.v. FYRE WEGES: Sinister Hermetick Magick) which begins the process of Physis that results in the first steps toward a new type of Being and a new race of gods.
