The 2018 Great Alaska Sportsman Show was held April 5-8 at the Sullivan and Ben Boeke arenas in Anchorage. The visitor center staff represented Soldotna with a booth full of goodies and information! We had over 1,500 people stop at our booth to enter a Soldotna Gift Basket Drawing and to take visitor guides and brochures. We received numerous compliments about the Soldotna Visitor Guide’s new look and articles; including “50 Free & Fun Family Activities” and “Explore Soldotna - One Day Four Ways.” A favorite handout at the show was our Calendar of Events Poster. Many military families new to Alaska, stopped by the booth and were excited to see all of the activities and festivals happening in the Soldotna area. Thank you to all of the members that advertised at the show. Our booth was again, a huge hit and your rack cards received a lot of interest.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAMIn April, the Student Ambassadors had the privilege of taking

a behind-the-scenes tour of Homer Electric Association’s Nikiski Plant & learned more about power generation.

Thank You!
