Workplace training is a great chance for you to get involved, develop your knowledge and skills in a way that will benefit what you do every day at work and how you inspire others.

At Hunters we believe that training is of paramount importance for all involved. It’s a chance to learn, improve and move your career to the next level. As a forward-thinking company, we have developed a training program second to none. It has been developed by estate agents for estate agents and even more important than that it is delivered by skilled and successful estate agents.

Training should be fun, interactive and engaging!

We provide a blended learning experience with both online and class-room training courses. The online training courses are on average about 20 to 30 minutes each and mainly cover the important stuff - legislation.

Our class-room courses are interactive, full of discussion which facilitates learning from one another, skills practice and the chance to share your stories. We believe the most important thing about training is that everyone has a part to play and everything is in the execution!

At Hunters our expectations are high, but achievable

All branch staff should, as a standard, be fully trained in their roles within 6 months of joining the network. This commitment to fully trained and knowledgeable agents enables the Hunters brand to deliver a consistently high standard of service to all of our customers, both internally and externally.

Training Academy procedures

It is really easy to enrol on the Hunters Training Academy. On commencement of employment all a new member of staff needs to do to push on and access all of the fantastic training on offer, is set up a training academy profile by visiting www.hunterstrainingacademy.com and then click on ‘Create New Account’.

After completing the account set up form, the request will be sent to the Training Team for review and approval.

New accounts are reviewed and activated within 24 working hours of account applications and then they will be good to go – it really is that simple!

New Staff

We understand what a hassle it can be when staff members leave so we don’t want to add to that. All we ask is that you notify the training department through support@hunterstrainingacademy.com within 7 days so that we can deactivate them.

It is important that this is done as if it isn’t, the academy will not be up to date and it can prevent your office from either gaining or retaining your accreditation.

Staff Leavers

When a classroom course booking is received, we would expect all to attend as there are limited spaces available on each one. We run the training courses for the benefit of all our people however, there are just a few basic responsibilities that we ask the attendee to adhere to, these are as follows:

Classroom Course Attendance

1. All delegates will receive an email detailing when and where the course is to be held approx. a week before the event, it would be great if a response by email to the Training Manager from the recipient is sent just confirm that they will be attending.

2. Delegates will need to provide their own transport to and from the training course whether that be train, plane or car – we will advise of the closest parking, train or tube stations for you.

3. As we are still working and learning, delegates and trainers are asked to wear business dress as you would on a usual working day.

4. To avoid delays and allow time to make a tea or coffee, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the course starts

5. If a delegate is delayed for any reason (there can be many) please call either the Training Manager or the place where you are attending the course to let the course leader know you will be late, or unable to attend so they can begin the course.

6. Lunch is not provided on training courses however there are facilities (fridges and microwaves) should you wish to bring your own.

7. If a delegate cannot make the course, we ask out of respect to everybody that they inform us as soon as possible. This means that we can open that place up to somebody else who is waiting to attend. For some courses, we also need a minimum number due to various role plays, therefore, If a delegate does not give at least 72 hours’ notice that they will not be attending, or a delegate does not turn up for a training course without giving notice or good reason, the branch of Hunters Franchising that the delegate works for will be charged £100.00. This will be automatically deducted at source.

Hunters Branch Accreditation

What is branch accreditation?

As Estate Agents we all operate in an extremely challenging industry, constantly finding new ways to stay ahead of our competitors.

The Government has announced its intention to regulate our industry in lettings, sales & leasehold management. This means there will be a minimum level of learning and a minimum qualification required in order to trade.

With industry regulations getting tougher and tighter it is now even more important to be ahead of the game so being the forward-thinking company that we are, our training provides not only Branch Accreditation (which is the minimum required) but also additional learning for those wanting to further themselves more and achieve the HNQ award.

How to achieve branch accreditation…

To achieve the accreditation all members of staff within a branch need to complete their “core” learning program. The content of this will depend on the job role, for example; - a Negotiator will not have to sit the Lister Course as a lister will have to.

New member of staff

All new staff members will have 6 months to complete their core learning plan for the branch to maintain accreditation and will be monitored by the manager and training support team.

Hunters National Qualification (HNQ)

What is a HNQ?

Now you have successfully completed all of your core learning and are already learning more and more, you can now move onto your individual awards!

Hunters National Qualification (HNQ) is our recognised professional qualification for Estate and Letting Agents.

It has been exclusively developed by Hunters and is endorsed by NAEA and ARLA Propertymark.

Again, the qualification is dependent on job role and there are three levels available (separate sales and lettings options).

1HNQ Award – Sales and LettingsThis level is designed to suit Sales or Lettings negotiators and all admin staff

3HNQ Diploma – Sales and LettingsThis level is designed for Managers and Franchise Owners

2 HNQ Certificate – Sales and LettingsThis one is suited for Sales and Lettings Listers (Valuers)

As with the core learning (accreditation), each program consists of a series of online learning modules as well as classroom courses and workshops.

Upon setting up a profile on the Training Academy, dependent on the declared job role, each delegate is assigned one of the three programs and a learning plan relevant to that role will become available immediately.

How to achieve the HNQ

Once all the core learning has been completed, each staff member needs to complete all the assigned e-learning as well as the classroom courses and workshops under the mandatory learning section.

Claiming your HNQ certificate

On completion of all learning, you will be entitled to receive and official completion certificate to display proudly within you branch. To claim this, email: support@hunterstrainingacademy.com

How to achieve the HNQ

The HNQ programs are the top two (one for sales and one for lettings), you will however only see the one relating to you.

ARLA and NAEA Propertymark

ARLA and NAEA Propertymark

Great news is, that once the HNQ qualifications are completed, as the learning is of such a standard, you will then qualify to become a member of ARLA or NAEA as each HNQ level has a relevant NAEA and ARLA Propertymark equivalent:

• HNQ Award – equivalent to Level 2 Propertymark qualification• HNQ Certificate and HNQ Diploma – both equivalent to Level 3

Additional Learning

For those who love to learn

You will be pleased to know that there are several optional / extra curricular courses available to all staff members as part of your professional development.

These range from Customer Service to Digital Marketing and are accessible via each delegates Training Academy profile under “Optional Courses”.

Annual Training

There will be annual course that once completed will re-open for everybody annually. At the moment these courses are:

You will be notified by email once they have opened and you will have two months from that date to complete them – please do this as it will affect your accreditation if not!! Plus, you can add this to your Continued Professional Development where it can be logged as additional learning.

To add further to your learning journey, you will also have the facility for adding and uploading any further external or internal training, work or industry related achievements such as property events, online courses, webinars etc.

You will have the option to add certificates as well as hours worked and then run a report if needed so it’s really easy for you to keep track of where you are up to.
