SATURDAY, JANUARY 31- We depart from the U.S. for our evening connecting flight overnight to Tel Aviv. Dinnerand breakfast served aboard. D (dinner) & B (breakfast)

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1- Our arrival at Ben Gurion Airport will be in the morning. We clear customs and transfer bymotor coach to the Mount of Beatitudes Guest House, located on Mt. Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Wecheck in, celebrate the first HOLY MASS of our pilgrimage and have dinner together. D MT. BEATITUDES

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 2 - This morning we drive to Nazareth. where Jesusspent most of His Life. There we go to the beautiful Basilica oftheAnnunciationand celebrate HOLY MASS in the Upper Church of the BASILICA OF THEANNUNCIATION. In the Grotto of the Annunciation we venerate the veryplace where the Word Was Made Flesh. We will also visit the nearby Church ofSt. Joseph's Workshop. Our lunch will be provided in Nazareth. Then we headto the Mediterranean coastline, arriving at Caesarea Maritima, Capitol of theRoman Province of Judea. We recall that St. Paul was imprisoned in Caesareabefore being sent to Rome. Also in this city St. Peter baptized the first Gentileconverts. We will see the Crusaders' Moat and fortifications built by St. Louisthe King. We will also see the well-preserved Roman Amphitheater. Back at our hotel we have dinner together

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3 - This morning we drive north to reach CaesareaPhilippi, where Peter proclaimed his faith in Jesus as "Christ, Son of the LivingGod." Our Lord in response promised Peter the Keys of the Kingdom in hisleadership role as Vicar of Christ on earth. Later back along the lake shore of theSea of Galilee we stop at the Church of the Primacy of Peter, the place whereOur Lord bestowed upon Peter the role of leadership of the Church. Here we willpray for the intentions of the Holy Father. Just a short distance further we are atthe site of the miracle of the Multiplication of Loaves Fishes. Included todaywill be a lunch ofSt. Peter Fish. We go on to Capernaum, known as the SecondCity of Jesus. During our visit we see the ancient structure of the House of Peter.Our tour will show us the ruins of the second century Synagogue (John: 6). In

this city Our Lord called a number of the Apostles, He taught the Good News of our Redemption and He cured manypeople of their afflictions. Our visit concludes with HOLY MASS IN ST. PETER CHURCH OF CAPERNAUM. At theend of the afternoon we embark on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, rememberingthe scripture passages of Jesus and His Apostles on this lake. Back at our hotel wehave dinner together B, L & D MT. BEATITUDES

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4 - This morning we drive to Cana, where Jesus'first miracle took place. The couples in our group can renew their marriage vows,and all can remember His Blessed Mother's words, "Do whatever He tells you."We celebrate HOLY MASS IN THE WEDDING CHURCH OF CANA. Then wehead to the Mediterranean coastline, driving north to ascend the Cannel Mountain

Range. Arriving at the site ofMuhraqa, we recall Elijah's challenge and defeat of the 450 prophets of Baal. We continueon the Stella Maris on Mt. Carmel, the largest monastery of the Carmelite Order and its headquarters. Here we see theCave of Elijah. After a break for lunch on our own, we ascend the heights ofMt. Tabor, where Jesus took Peter, Jamesand John and was gloriously Transfigured in their sight. Back at our hotel we have dinner together.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY5 - Our day begins with HOLY MASS ON MT BEATITUDES, where Jesus preached HisSermon on the Mount, teaching the Eight Beatitudes to the assembled crowd. Then we follow the Jordan River southfrom the Sea of Galilee through its fertile valley. A short distance before it reaches the Dead Sea, we go to the bank of theJordan to recall Our Lord's Baptism by St. John, and to renew our Baptismal Promises. Next we arrive at Qumran,ancient site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We are given a tour and have time for lunch on our own. Then wego to the edge of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth. At our stop here some may wish to float in its mineral richwaters. We will drive through Jericho, the most ancient city in the Holy Land, which is written about in both the Oldand the New Testaments. As we pass through we see a sycamore tree, and we recall the encounter of Zacchaeus withJesus. We also view Mt. Temptation. Driving up to Jerusalem, but before arriving into the Holy City, we will stop atBethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus. In Jerusalem we check in at our hotel, only a short walk to DamascusGate at the Walled City of Jerusalem. We gather for dinner together. B & D JERUSALEM

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6 - Traveling a short distance south of Jerusalem, we arrive in Bethlehem. We begin our visitin the countryside at the Shepherds' Fields of Boaz, remembering the angels' glad tidings to the shepherds. We celebrate

HOLY MASS in a GROTTO OF SHEPHERDS' FIELDS. Within the Town of Bethlehemwe go to venerate the very Birthplace of the Infant Jesus in the Grotto ofthe Nativity. Wealso venerate the Manger as well as the Grotto of St. Jerome, the setting where this earlysaint translated the Bible into the Vulgate (into the Latin language). A special experience willbe a visit to Bethlehem University, where we will meet students, faculty and its ChristianBrothers directors. This is the only Christian University in Palestine. It provides highereducation to both Christians and Moslems. Our lunch is provided by their hotel managementfaculty. Time permitting, we will stop at a Bethlehem store that offers olive wood religiouscarvings and many other items. B, L & D JERUSALEM

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7 - Early this morning, with the Franciscans chanting thecommon hymns, we celebrate MASS AT THE TOMB OF JESUS in the Church of the

Holy Sepulchre. After breakfast we drive to the Summit of Mt. Olives to visit the Chapel of the Ascension and theChurch of Pater Noster. Walking the Palm Sunday Road, we visit the Church of Dominus Flevit ("The Lord Wept").There, too, we have a wonderful panoramic view of the City of Jerusalem. We continue down the road to complete ourdevotions in the Garden ofGethsemane. This afternoon we enter the Old City ofJerusalem at St. Stephen's Gate whereour first stop is at the Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. Next we make the Way of the Cross, carryinga wooden cross along the streets and among the markets and shops as Jesus did on His journey to Calvary following theVia Dolorosa. We enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and within thechurch we visit Golgotha and complete our devotions at the Sacred Tomb ofJesus. After dinner we go to the Church of All Nations at Gethsemane for aHoly Hour from 8:30 to 9:30 PM with an opportunity for Confession.

B&D JERUSALEM

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8 - We drive along the walls of the Old City to reach aGate where we can access the sacred Jewish Temple area of the Western Wallor Wailing Wall. Prayers are offered up at these remaining holy stones of theglorious temple. We are aware that now the only structures standing above onthe Temple Mount itself are the Moslem Shrines of the Dome of the Rock and Mosque el Aqsa. Next we reach an areaby Mt. Zion Gate. There we go to celebrate MASS IN THE FRANCISCANS' CENACLE CHAPEL. Then we visit thenearby traditional site of the Upper Room, remembering the Last Supper, Easter Sunday night and Pentecost Sunday.Next we visit Dormition Abbey Church that honors the passage of Our Lady from this life to Heaven. This afternoonis free for our own activities. This evening we dine in a little more festive way at a typical Middle Eastern dinner.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9 - Early morning we celebrate HOLY MASS. After breakfast we drive to Ben GurionAirport for a mid-morning flight to Rome. Clearing Italian Customs, we board a motor coach for the drive to Assisi,a hill town of Umbria, sanctified by St. Francis of Assisi. There we check in and have dinner. B & D ASSISI

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10 - This morning we celebrate MASS AT THE TOMB OF ST. FRANCIS in the Basilicaof St. Francis. Afterwards a Franciscan friar will give us a tour of the Basilica with its magnificent frescos by Giottodepicting the life of the saint. Later this morning we are driven to the Upper Town to the Basilica of St. Clare ofAssisi, a devout follower of St. Francis. In the Basilica's upper side chapel we can see and venerate the Crucifixthat spoke to Francis as he prayed in the church of San Damiano. There the Lord commanded him to "Rebuild MyChurch." Entombed in the crypt is the incorrupt body of St. Clare. There will be time in this peace-filled town forlunch and some shopping. We will drive to the plains below Assisi to St. Mary ofthe Angels Basilica, where we visitthe Porziuncola, the little chapel where St. Francis gathered his followers. We continue on, traveling south to Rome,the Eternal City, and arrive at our hotel near the Vatican for check-in. We have dinner together this evening.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11 - This morning we experience ahighlight of our visit in Rome - a Papal Audience with His HolinessPope Francis. There will be time for lunch on our own. This afternoonwe drive to the most illustrious of churches dedicated to Our Lady, theBASILICA OF ST. MARY MAJOR, to celebrate HOLY MASS in thebeautiful chapel of Our Lady, Protector of the Roman People. In theConfessio beneath the high altar we can venerate the Relics ofthe Cribthat held the Infant Jesus in Bethlehem. We will see an ornate ceilingcomprised of gold from the new world, as well as a beautiful mosaicapse. Our next stop nearby is the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Cathedral Church of Rome. We can admire itsrichly adorned interior that inspires much devotion. We return to our hotel and have dinner together at a restaurantnearby. B & D ROME

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12 - Our MASS this morning will be in the magnificent BASlLlCA OF ST. PETER inVatican City. As we walk through and pray, our thoughts are flooded with theevents that have taken place here and the people who have worshiped in thisgreat center of the Church. After Mass we meet a guide who leads us on a tour ofthe Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel with its marvelous display offrescosby the great master Michelangelo. Our tour concludes within the Basilica ofSt. Peter. Our afternoon is free. Much can be discovered by walking throughOld Rome: the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Stepsand countless churches where tombs of saints and great masterpieces can bediscovered. Rome, the Center of the Roman Empire and Center of the Church!

This evening we can sample delicious Italian cuisine on our own. B ROME

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13 - This morning, having already visited three of the four Major Basilicas of Rome, we driveto the outskirts of Rome to the fourth Major Basilica, the magnificent Basilica ofSt. Paul Outside the Walls. Beforeentering we pass through a huge courtyard and are struck by a marvelous mosaic on its frieze above the entrance. Thenave framed by 80 granite monolith columns leads us to the Tomb of St. Paul, Apostle ofthe Gentiles. We celebrateHOLY MASS in the CHAPEL OF ST. BENEDICT. After Mass a guide meets us for a tour of the Basilica, and thencontinues by giving us a panoramic tour of Ancient Rome - the Baths of Caracalla, Circus Maximus, PalatineHill, Arch of Constantine, and Coliseum. We finish our tour on foot through the Roman Forum, ending at the baseof the Capitoline Hill. This afternoon we are free for our own exploration or for last minute shopping. This eveningwe go out together to celebrate a Farewell Dinner with wine and music. B & D ROME

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14 - We check out of our hotel and transfer to the Rome airport for our return flight tothe U.S., arriving this same day in our home city.

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: Travel Tyme requires adeposit of $400 per person that is to be sent with the application atthe time of booking. This deposit forms a part of your final payment,which must be received by us no later than 65 days prior to departure.Seats are limited on this Pilgrimage, so we suggest an early booking.

CANCELLATIONS: Please make all cancellations in writing. Thefollowing cancellation charges apply: If cancelled 120 days or more priorto departure, a $25 administration fee is charged. If cancelled 119-61days prior, $300 penalty will be charged. If cancelled 60-15 days prior,a $600 penalty will be charged. If cancelled 14 days or less, the totalamount of the trip will be forfeited. In addition, once the airline ticketsare issued, about 40 days prior to departure, the cost is non-refundable(approximately $1772).

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend the purchaseof travel insurance to recuperate the penalties charged for cancellationfor health reasons. You would be fully covered, except if pre-existingconditions are evident. Even so, the insurer waives the exclusion forpre-existing conditions, if insurance is purchased within 15 days ofdeposit received by Travel Tyme.
