TRENTON — Chrysler Group LLC plans to invest $114 million in equipment and create
268 new jobs at the Trenton Engine Complex on Van Horn Road. The investment, an-

building to produce parts for the engines made at its sister plant, Trenton South, which
is next door. The old plant had stopped operations in May. ―As Chrysler Group moves
to replace seven V-6 engines with the new Pentastar V-6, it has become necessary to
add capacity on core components in order to meet the production demands of this new
engine,‖ Brian Harlow, vice president and head of powertrain manufacturing, said in a
press release. ―This investment has also given Trenton North, which has been building
engines for nearly 60 years, a new lease on life.‖ At a special meeting Monday, the City
Council unanimously approved a tax abatement request to support Chrysler’s use of the
plant. | Source:http://bit.ly/jL5d2X
