Come and study in Bialystok! Bialystok, is a great historic city, the largest in the north-eastern part of Poland, located only 2 hours from Warsaw - the Capital of Poland. Bialystok’s specific char- acter has been shaped by the coexistence of many nations, religions, cultures, cus- toms and traditions. Bialystok is a lovely city with many sightseeing possibilities and a great place for living and studying. You can also find many sources of entertainment of any kind. Opera, clubs, restaurants, cinemas, shopping cent- ers, concerts are just foretaste what Bialystok has to offer. We have over 50 thousand students not only from Poland, but from different coun- tries like: Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Finland, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine. Come and share the great experience of studying sat the University of Bialystok with many other students. Our University is the largest academic institution in this part of Poland, with over 30 fields of study, 100 specializations and highly qualified teaching staff. University offers 102 different postgraduate courses. The doctoral programmes are provided by five university units: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of Physics, the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry and the Faculty of History and Sociology. The Uni- versity is entitled to confer 10 doctoral degrees and 6 postdoctoral degrees.
