As Business Analyst at Exertis can you tell us whatyour role entails?I work with all areas of the business trying to makepeople’s lives easier when it comes to reporting. Thismeans providing training and assistance to users, creatingvarious ad-hoc and one-off reports, and generating morestandardised and automated reports that track againsttargets and KPIs. A lot of my time is spent making sureour data is up to date and accurate, before pulling itthrough to Excel and turning it into something thatsomeone would actually want to use.

What is the best thing about your job?Having the freedom to do what I want to do - I’mfortunate being in the role that I am because I can controlwhat I do, how I do it and when. I also enjoy getting todeal with so many people on a daily basis – it means thattwo days are rarely the same, and there’s alwayssomething new that needs doing.

So when you are not at work what do you like to do?When I’m not spending all day staring at a computerscreen, I’m usually at home, staring at a computerscreen… I’m a bit of a PC geek so will spend most of my time listening to music or playing games on that.That, or doing my best Martin Keown [vs Van Nistelrooy] impression on a Monday night for the work 6-a-side team.

How would your colleagues describe you?Chatty, ridiculously sarcastic and a massive wind-upmerchant would sum it up pretty well… Though peopleknow they can always talk to me and rely on me shouldthey need to.

Tell us something interesting about yourself thatmost people won’t know?I’ve got 16 screws in my left arm.
